So I've been struggling to maintain my 105-110k PPD lately mainly because I had a mobo with a GX2 on it fail. I bought an open box 750i Platinum to replace it. I moved my 3 GTX's from my 780i to the 750i platform and the related powersupply. That puppy is up and running now. My parts for what is going to fill the 780i are due Monday/Tuesday. It is getting a 1200w PSU, and 3 GX2's So hopefully that will turn in to a 33k PPD monster, where it was lucky if it reached 18k before. Then I'm bringing online one more box which will total 13 boxes, that is only a dual core, but I'm going to slap a GX2 in that computer. The net effect should be going from 105k to at least 135k PPD. My basement is missing the space heaters running as it dropped while I was transplanting the 88GTX's to a balmy 71F. With 3 more GX2's running I am going to guess it will be up around 77F. My electricity bill last month was 310, and I'm going to guess it will touch nearly 350 in February.

So that is where / what has been going on. Pictures to come once I get the parts this week. Folding P0rN FTW.

Also the new units 5755 and 5753 which are worth 511 points are absolute dogs! I'm getting a whopping 4k PPD on my 88GTX, so maybe I'll max out at only 120k

Nice ramp.

I've dropped ~10k PpD due to the 511 pointers and my SMP clients not liking some of the new protiens that have been released into the wild.

The 5100 SMP units are a real pain. Seems that they have taken over the A2 WUs in preponderance. I hardly get A2 WUs much these days. I'm surprised Stanford has reduced the number of A2 units since it seemed that was the direction they were headed in the future.

I dunno, I've been getting a pretty steady stream of a2 units on both of my LinSMP clients.

The A2 units stopped for me a few days ago also. I'm getting a steady stream of 2665s that take 2+ days to complete on both my dual core machines.
 
I would not suggest the nvidia chipset wtih 3 or more GX2s

I'm having trouble booting. Once you get it to boot it works fine! and that is on a 780i

The 750i is a completely different chipset from the 680i. The 780i is nearly identical to the 680i aside from the newer PCI-E bridge chip.
