do the 1155 chipsets that support onboard video have any problems these days? when you are using it can you feel the strain on system resources? and if not, can they be disabled in the bios without them interfering with anything? this is my biggest concern as i havent messed with a board with onboard video in a long time, except for laptops.

I use it on my miniITX Asrock platform with 2500K. I dont feel any strain on the system. The GPU HD3000 is a separate processor from the main 4 cores. They just share the same die.

Anyways the HD3000 is good for Quick-sync and that is about it.

Nope. I drive my 30" Dell from the on-board graphics and a 2600k. As long as I don't try to game, everything is great.

I have mine enabled to run a 3rd monitor. Hasn't gotten in the way of a stable 5.0 overclock and I haven't noticed any performance issues with my sli setup...
