Hi evryone,
I just purchased a new system, which includes (among others) an ASUS P5E VM HDMI mATX mobo, a Q9450 CPU, a Ninja Mini heatsink and a Silverstone GD02-MT case.
I'm a little confused about the installation of the Mini. Since this case and mobo are mATX, I don't have a lot of choices for the placement of the components.
Scythe says I should place the included 80mm fan in a way that will blow air on the fins of the Mini. However in the case I also have two 80mm exhaust fans really close to the heatsink.
If possible, i'd like to overclock, so I'm looking for the best airflow soution. So, what would be the best way to mount all this? Here are my options:
- The Mini with its fan on one side (front or side) and on the opposite side (rear) the case exhaust fans.
- The Mini with its fan at the rear (blowing air) right next to the exhaust fans (sucking air)
- The Mini without any fan at all, just sitting close to the exhaust fans of the case (but not really touching them)
Any ideas? Thanks.
