Think a OCZ ModXStream Pro 500W can handle the below build?

Phenom II X6
Asus mobo (SATA 6, USB 3, blah blah blah)
Raptor 150, Raptor 150, WD 160 7200, Samsung F3 1TB 7200
ATI 4850 512
8 Gigs DDR3 1333

Going to be rocking quite a few VM's on this thing.
 
Weeeelllll... On paper, yes, it should handle it as long as you're not overclocking anything.

That said, I think you're asking for problems. The reviews I've seen of the Xstream Pro (here's one) seem to indicate that it's good for it's labeled power up to at least 40*C, but it's not exactly a high-end power supply, and its ripple suppression is nothing to write home about. A worst-case scenario for that system is probably pushing up into the 450-470w range, maybe higher, and if it's going to be run under high load for any length of time I'd be uncomfortable using that OCZ.

Unless you really don't care about any of the hardware in that box or the data on it, I suggest looking for something a little bit bigger and higher end. The XFX 650w is $100 at Newegg right now, the Corsair HX650 is $120. Either one would be a better choice for that. I believe Antec has a few good units in the 600-700w range right now too, but I'm not familiar enough with their current lineup to make a specific recommendation.
 
Well that design was tested at 45C in this review:

Assuming, and that's a big assumption IMO, that the 500W model uses the same exact components as its 700W brother, that 500W ModXStream Pro PSU is of ok quality and should be enough. In the above review, the 700W model did fine in terms of DC output quality at 75% or 512W load. The PSU also did fine under torture testing at 80% load or 555W load. Results weren't great but weren't bad either.

So that PSU is good for it's rated power at 45C. Not great but not bad performance either. Just middle of the road. So yeah, that PSU should be ok for that setup. Though I wouldn't try overclocking.

However, If you haven't bought the OCZ yet, don't. Don't waste the money. Any of the PSUs that Siorus mentioned are good. As for the Antecs, the Antec Truepower New line is pretty good.
 
I've got that PSU currently running in a PC, and figured I would scavenge it. But, I'll just pick one of the above PSU's and not risk killing my 500W and everything with it.

4x 120mm fan

It's stable but I do agree with the answers here that I should go for something better
