I am sick of IDE... moving to SATA. I have a crapload of files on my dying 80GB and 60GB drives than I am backing up, but my 120BG IDE is my OS, games, apps disk. I am getting a 74GB raptor and would like that to assume that roll, the 120GB becoming my crappper drive for all the crap i feel like putting on it. Problem is, that 120GB drive has a good 60GB in stuff on it, stuff I can loose, but don't want to sit through re-isntalling. In getting this new HD, I am also moving to a 64-bit setup, so I would like to do a fresh windows install, just to clean out old drivers and whatnot. So, is there any way at all to do a fresh windows install, then copy all my games and crap over to the new drive, then get a copy of my old registry so that I dont have to reinstall everything?
