I am currently running a i7 3930k SB-E chip, and was just curious if Haswell is going to be better than this chip or close to it, or anything for this matter.

I tried searching on the threads here but couldn't really find anything...

Thanks.

Haswell hasn't turned out to perform in terms of hitting high frequencies and temps that well when comparing OC values with the previous generation. In your case, you definitely don't need the change.

Haswell is definitely not an upgrade from the 3930k, even if you are lucky enough to get a good chip, 4 cores vs 6.

Alright thanks for the replies. I just recently built my machine and tried to get the best stuff.. was going to be really frustrated if Haswell turned out to be better.

If Haswell didn't have these temp issues, it surely would have been a superb cpu, but that's really not happening anytime soon.
