From the FAQ

Q. How do I configure F@H to fold for Team #33?

A. While the simulation is running, press the triangle button to open the configuration menu, then select Identity. Select join an existing team, and enter 33 as the team number. Then select change donor name to choose the alias you would like to fold under.

And I don't really know if it's bad to run a PS3 24/7 or not... sorry

"bad" is sort of a crap shoot....if it's well ventilated, then it should be just as fine as leaving a computer on 24/7....if you have it in a small box where the hot air can't escape, then yea it's probably not a good idea

We have a number of people running F@H on their PS3's here and I don't think I've seen a single post yet about problems running it 24/7. I'm not saying there can't be problems, but the best bet is to say that it's safe.

If it was going to kill a lot of PS3s, we would have heard something by now from the people running it who ended up with dead PS3s. Considering the number of them overall that are folding, any problem would more than likely have shown up by now.

My PS3 has folded 24/7 for months. In August, it was 100F outside and 80F+ in my house and it still folded away happily (but loudly). Universities have set up PS3 clusters for folding and supercomputing. I don't think they would have done this if it were detrimental to the machine. The PS3 is built like a tank, not a toy like some other machines.

I agree that my PS3 has been folding since the day the client came out (around 600+ WU now I think I am too lazy to fire up the projector and look) and it has never had a single issue as far as the folding client or heat have been concerned. I wouldn't worry about folding on it 24/7 unless you do not have adequate ventilation/ heat dispersal

My PS3 has been folding 24/7 since June with no problems. It's well ventilated, and it probably never gets above 78 in the house. I've never heard of anyone having a problem from folding (and I'm surprised at the guy who said his got loud in the heat.... I've never heard mine, except when it's dead quiet and the optical disk is spinning up, and even then, barely).

Anyway, yeah, just turn it on and don't worry about it :)

I've ran my PS3 24/7 since the app was released, though I have a fan blowing around it.
