Hi. I am making a new computer and I am wondering if I should get a X800XL

AMD 64 3200+
MSI Neo4
1 GB Corsair Ram
160 GB Hard Drive
Audigy 2 ZS
Mad Dog 550Watts

Or any other suggestions for cards will be nice. Thanx

Mad Dog PS? I dunno about that one...Get a Fortron or Sparkle...The X800XL would be a nice choice for that system tho IMO...have fun!

EDIT: Why not pay a little more and go with a S939 and PCI-E? What is your budget?

There's an X800XL PCIe over here for $249 - you can thank Skrying for the linkage. :)

Thanx, but that a good card for my system right?

There couldn't be a better card. I have an A64 3700+ with a x800XL. Upgraded from a 6600GT, best investment evar.

Cool thanx guys for helping me out

EDIT: BTW what games might X800XL have trouble running

Doom3. You will have to run low AA. That's about it. Great card. I love mine.

I've been wondering about that $250 xl, seems almost too low compared to the prices everywhere else on the net. I've never dealt with Monarch, but would you say that it's a safe bet to buy that card?

People seem happy in the reviews on newegg. I plan on getting that card too if it makes you feel any better

It really is a good card now that the drivers are finally fairly mature and stable.

It doesn't overclock extremely well though... Still, 16 pipelines even at close to stock speeds are pretty quick.

I wish ATI did not purposefully cripple their opengl support on the radeon drivers though...
