You can use whatever method you find easiest for getting the coolant in the line. When I used one, I either attached it to a fillport, or, in one case, just stuck a funnel into the line and capped it off after I filled it.

As I understand it, and assuming that your t-line opening is the highest point in your loop, the air will work its way out as the pump pushes it through the loop.

My personal opinion is that it does not bleed as well as a res, but I'm sure other people would differ on that point.
 
Oh, so the t-line should be at the highest point in the loop...okay. Makes sense! Didn't think about that. I guess the pump needs to be mounted high as well, then, since they'll be close together.

Air will go to the highest point in the loop and you usually want your t-line as you said to have the fill port at the highest point so that air will travel up.
 
It doesn't matter where the Tline is, so long as the "T" portion of the tubing (that which goes vertically) goes higher than any other part of the loop.

Even that is not technically required, but it certainly makes Tlining much easier!
 
put your pump at the lowest point in your loop that is practical. You want to make sure it can never run dry.
 
In addition, to get the air out, add fluid when the radiator isn't mounted so you can move it around.
