So my dad has a computer with a LOOK DSL ISP connection through a DSL modem connected to his LAN port on the motherboard. So let's say I find and purchase a Wireless card with Access Point technology and install it into his system, and set it to AP mode. (This card is the Asus WL-138G-v2) So then I would purchase a Wireless Router. I would connect this router to the wireless card, and then connect USB and LAN1 to my PC to configure settings, etc. Then I would connect the other LAN ports on the router to my other computers.Would this work? Would I be able to broadcast my dad's LOOK DSL signal through a WiFi-AP 802.11G wireless card, and then have a wireless router connect to it, and then use the connection to connect all my PCs? Is this really possible?
(Note: I'm a n00b at this wireless stuff. Be gentle.)
