I was hoping there would be for support for this card soon, but it appears not. I have tried everything recommended here as well as other forums (see link: http://foldingforum.org/viewtopic.php?f=52&t=9953). I have 6 boxes burning in for the next 7 days (Windows 7 64-bit) that I could run the GPU client on, but cannot get it working with these Quadro FX 3800. nVidia has CUDA support for these cards (http://www.nvidia.com/object/cuda_learn_products.html), but F@H still says it is not supported. I have about 15 of these cards here that I could run F@H on during the weekends.

Just wanted to ask here if anyone else had any ideas besides the -forcegpu flag? Thanks in advance.

15 cards not running, wow

There was someone running quadros, who was it?

This is stupid, but is there a forcegpu g100gl flag? That is the gpu this card is based upon.

Also, can you install the latest geforce drivers?
I always thought there was an "enable cuda" switch, but that's probably just a figment of my imagination.

I tried that, no dice. I tried the -forcegpu nvidia_g80 flag as well and it did not work.

Hopefully there will be some support for this card in the GPU3 client. I got another 5 more workstations in that it can run on during the weekends with the FX 3800 card.

I had a tesla for a while and had some issues with it maybe i can help.

what OS?
What drivers?
x86 or x64?

For troubleshooting always use the console client because it is self contained :)

EDIT: from reading your other post the program is not communicating properly with your Data Folders.
This should be an easy fix

Windows 7 64 bit
Latest CUDA Driver - 190.38
Latest GPU exe

Here is what I get when I just run gpu.exe -verbosity 9

Code:
c:\gpu>gpu -verbosity 9

use of this software requires that you have read and accepted this agreement.

You may wish to consider running our standard client,
which you can download at folding.stanford.edu.
For some reason tonight it was able to get through with the -forcegpu nvidia_g80 flag but I get this:

Again I am hoping this card will supported in GPU3, but I think I have given up for now.

Well if you give up on getting F@H, make sure to put them to use in BOINC at least on one of the various projects.

First I want you to uninstall the drivers and reboot
Then download these drivers
Reboot

Try the client again without the forcegpu flag.

You should only use the CUDA driver ie 190.38 if you have a Tesla
Since you have a Quadro, you need the ones i linked.

15 cuda cards running, that's awesome if it works, we could use your help fir sure!

nitrobass24 is the man. I am an idiot thinking the main CUDA page was the only one for the latest driver. The beta CUDA driver site took me to the 191.66 driver you had posted.

Using that driver and the -forcegpu nvidia_g80 flag I was able to get it folding on a test machine. If all goes well and results come back ok then I will get it going on the other 14 as well as 10 FX1800s and a handful of FX580s. I ask my users nicely if they want to do this, and most have said absolutely. Thank you again nitrobass24.

With that much F@H power, youll be like dephcon (sort of)

I was refering more to the free hardware from work aspect (I'm assuming)
I know the points won't add up like his but it's all towards the cause
Hell, I just Borged an old socket A rig for like 100ppd

i borged a cash register once when i worked for safeway.. lol weak ass security on those things.. loaded up firefox with a thumb drive.. because they had IE removed.. but they replaced the cash registers 2 weeks later so that fun was over.. didnt bother to do it with the new ones but they were only P3 550's.. with 256 megs of ram running windows XP.. worthless stupid slow machines..

That's one step away from installing it on a toaster :p
