Here's the deal. I have two different computers, and I'm looking to replace one of the large cases with a Qpack (and keep the other intact). I'm either going to keep my 875P MSI Neo board with my 2.8C running at 3.2Ghz or my DFI Lanparty Ultra-D with my Opteron 165@2.6Ghz.

My options are...get a s478 mATX board or a s939 mATX board. I really would like to keep my DFI board with my Opteron (looking to get into WC), but at the same time, I know the Biostar TForce mobo's are going to clock higher than just about anything I can find on the Intel side of mATX.

I came across this board. Any good?

I really only need about 230FSB out of a P4 board to do what I need it to do.
 
I guess another sub-question is how loud are the Qpacks? I leave my opteron running all night, but I only have the P4 running during the day. Since I sleep in the same room, I don't want a lot of extra noise.
 
depends on what you do with it..mine is not loud at all...i run watercooling so one 120mm fan and then a 92mm fan on the side...it is quiet for a full computer.
 
if you want the 430 southbridge, the foxconn (gasp!) is a the best oc'er with the 430. pcstats review (i think it was them) got a max of 275 fsb stable, and it has voltage adjustments.

They're not loud at all.

The loudest parts are going to be the rear 120mm fan, your CPU fan, and your video card fan. The 120mm fan comes wired to the +12V and GND pins on a molex 4-pin connector, and I just changed the black wire so that it was on the red +5V wire, giving me 7 volts. The fan still moves plenty of air and it's whisper-quiet.

My motherboard has SMART fan control on the CPU fan, so that's totally silent unless I'm running something CPU intensive... if you want to have your CPU maxed out and keep it quiet, you'll have to get something like a Zalman heatsink with a quiet fan.

I also swapped out my video card's built in fan with an Arctic Cooling Silencer, and now that is all but silent as well. The loudest part of my QPack is the hard drive now.
