Push/pull performance with MCR320 and Gentle Typhoon?

I just recently finished my watercooling setup, with an MCR320 cooling the CPU and VREG with 3 low speed yate loons:
Air Flow: 47 CFM
Fan Speed: 1350 RPM
Noise Level: 28 dBA
My question is, how much better cooling performance would I get if I replaced the 3 low speed yate loons with 6 Gentle Typhoon high speed fans in a push/pull configuration (only 100rpm faster then yate low speeds):
Air Flow: 85 CFM
Fan Speed: 1,450 rpm
Noise Level: 21 dBA

If those CFM values are correct quite a lot. But the trouble is I have a hard time (read - I do not) believe that +100 rpm could result in almost doubling the CFM and the 21dBA is very very questionalbe. That is as quiet as the specification for background noise in many Anechoic test chambers. But I have been wrong before and have no personal experience with those fans.

-----------------------------------
EDIT:
I see what happend some seller does not know the difference betwen CFM and cubic Meters/hour
1,450 rpm: 0.049 A - 21 dBA - 85 m³/h
1,850 rpm: 0.083 A - 28 dBA - 98 m³/h

1 CFM = 1.699 M3 / hr

so 85 m3/hr X hr/1.699M3 = about 50 CFM
and 98m3/hr = about 55 CFM

Now things make more sense. Marginal cooling improvement but perhaps quieter but with the added turbulence with a push pull and while the dB do not add directly, the 3 additional fans will contribute to noise. So if I do choose to believe the specs I believe for a 6 fan push pull your noise will stay about the same and cooling capability will increase only marginally (compared to other options) - because you are not really pushing all that much more air through the rad. By how much /shrug.

Push pull in general does not have great benifits unless you have a close fin rad, you dont, and you are trying to push a high CFM to start with, you are not. But it never hurts to have spare fans around and it cannot hurt anything to try it out. As mentioned above, been wrong before.

-----------------------------------------------------------

If you are dead set on those fans I would go with the 1450rpm ones and just buy one set to try out before blowing cash on 6 and finding out you dont like them. I was going to recommend the 1850 ones but notice how for a measly 5 CFM more the current draw almost doubles. This indicates to me (and I am not a fan engineer but do have an EE so its a semi-educated guess) that the optimal balance between the abilty of the blades to push air through the fan and the fan motor design has been exceeded. Those are likley not the proper terms etc. but it seems that fan has to work (use current) a hella lot harder for that +5 CFM, its almost 85% more fan motor current for 10% more CFM. It also makes me want to see what the PQ curve looks like for these fans to judge their abilty to push air against back pressure. If you had a dense fin rad I would really really want to look into that but I beleive the rad you listed is not dense fin, could be wrong and I am sure someone will correct me.

It seems you are not happy with the YL;s and I am assuming you are after the Holy Grail of more CFM with less noise I suggest this.

Personally I would go to 38mm medium speed (1800+ rpm) fans in pull mounting on a controller or a simple switch to choose between 12V and 7V . The stack size will end up thinner and you will with a controller have the ability to infinitely adjust the airflow vs noise. This adjustment gives you the fine control to "dial in" your noise vs cooling instead of the somewhat "shotgun" solution of endlessly trying fan combinations because it is almost impossbile to find "honest" or fan specs that are tested exactly the same so a real comparision via the specs can be made. On the other hand a report on how those worked vs the YL's would be great stuff if you took temps now, room, idle and load, put on 3 of the new fans, took temps and then put on the other 3 and took temps.

So everyone has their own opinions preferances on fan configurations trouble is with no standardized specs it is almost impossbile to compare fan vs fan. The above is my take on it, see what other people think and I am just glad I figured out what was going on with the CFM numbers.

I've heard some great things about gentle typhoons, but forthe cost, I would stick with youur yates. If you want more performance, maybe you should get high speed yates and a fan controller.

I think I may just get another 3 low speed Yates to be gentle on my wallet and test how it does in push/pull vs just pulling, if I can find some 6-23 1.25" machine screws that is..
