Hey all,
Still running, socket939, and was in the market for a push/pull heatsink for my cpu.
I looked around, and was GOING to get TRUE, but due to the fact that if I mounted it, it would run parallel to my graphics cards, and NOT facing the back, I couldn't.

MY MOBO
ASUS A8N-SLI PREMIUM

So does any one have recommendations for a push/pull heatsink that is:
  • Not HUGE and will block the ram when facing the back
  • Mounts facing the back
  • Does't cost too much
  • NOT HUGE!!!
  • And is good

Thanks

I really liked the CM Hyper 212.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103065
Used it in a build for a friend recently.
It only comes with one fan, but it does come with the mounts to add a second fan.

It can be mounted in any orientation!

Oh, and it keeps his 720BE unlocked to 4 cores, and overclocked to 3.6ghz at about room temp at idle, and about 50-60 full load!

how does that mount on a 939? I couldn't figure it out on the instruction manual

check out the NH-U9DO ... can be mounted different orientations. Not sold or advertised for 2 fans, but given the different mounting options it most likely can. Could be a little pricey tho.

I put a link to Performance PCs for convenience ... many do like dealing with them

mygod thats expensive

then there is the Scythe MUGEN ... there are several other 939 compatible HSF on that site. Just search for "939", read, search for reviews ... .. .

because you have the option of moving the HSF to whichever directions you want and then use the clamp to hold it down.

thing with these is when you mount it I don't know where they face whether up or towards the back
You did look at the picture in that link????? It shows the fan mounted on any of the 4 sides ... looked pretty clear to me
