go to nvidia.com, tick the notify me box and wait.Hey folks what's the best way to make sure I'm able to purchase one of these on launch day, I'm sure it'll be difficult due to demand. I'm also new to purchasing parts on release day so any advice is appreciated.
no idea, i never purchase day 1.Along that line...when did cards actually go on sale last time? Like at midnight EST, or sometime in the morning, or what?

probably will end up like that anyways. never seems to be enough released at first to meet full demand.I normally wouldn't, but I fear it might be hard to get a card within the next few months if you don't jump on it sooner rather than later.

The 2080ti is still a good card, but it was never worth $1200+, it was always a $699 card. I just couldn't do it and buy one, actually pretty happy now that I waited and showed Nvidia that at least some people are not accepting the price gauging. This year I might not buy day 1, 2080Ti is still a beast, I just want a card before Cyberpunk 2077. Hopefully supply isn't that bad.
My advice to get one day one would be to open multiple tabs on a browser with all the stores you would buy from and just keep refreshing until they pop up. I believe Nvidia and EVGA stores post theirs at 8AM CST / 6AM PST, if I remember correctly, but it would be worth monitoring Amazon and Newegg as well. I have bought on day 1 every cycle since the 680, never missed a day one buy until the 2080Ti which was a pre-order that started during the conference. Also would be worth checking with Microcenter the day before release and asking if they can reserve one for you, since they recieve comission they have incentive to get the sale.
Wait for the strix or gigabyte versionsHey folks what's the best way to make sure I'm able to purchase one of these on launch day, I'm sure it'll be difficult due to demand. I'm also new to purchasing parts on release day so any advice is appreciated.
