I've been watercooling for 7+ years now, and my Eheim pump is giving up the ghost (finally!)
I've ripped out all of my watercooling equipment from my old setup and put a heatpipe in there to keep it up as I am rebuilding.
One thing that I noticed right off the bat is how much quieter my current setup is with the pump out of there. I am surprised at the amount of noise/vibration I was getting off that thing. Some of that I can chalk up to the age of the pump as it was getting quiet loud.
I have a spare new Eheim pump I am going to use in a new case with new equipment.
My question is does anyone have a solution for mounting the pump? I am looking for a clean solution to mounting it with in my case, preferably with some sound damping added to keep the vibration to a minimum.
My old pump was was directly mounted via zip ties to the case, one of the reasons I am sure it was loud in it's later years.
