Well, I just placed the order to complete all the parts for my new system. My current rig is 6 years old and I've been patient enough (and you can see the Dell OEM specs in my sig). I've built about a half dozen systems for others and was always sick with envy at not being able to get a new system. But the time has come for moi -

Thanks to all here at [H] who have helped me make the decisions - as recently as today.

Here are the components:

Motherboard: MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum/SLI
Processor: AMD64 3700+ (San Diego)
RAM: Corsair TWINX1024-4400C25PT 1GB Kit DDR550 XMS4400 Memory w/Platinum Heat Spreader
Power Supply: PCP&C 510 SLI
Graphics: BFG GeForce 6800 GT OC (PCI-e)
Hard Drives: WD 10,000 RPM Raptor 74GB (OS; apps); 2 X 160GB Seagate Barracudas 7200 RPM (RAID 1 for data redundancy)
Soundcard: Creative Labs Audigy 2ZS
TV Tuner: Hauppauge WinPVR-250
Display: Dual - Dell 2005fpw LCD (20.1" widescreen) and Viewsonic 22" CRT P220f
Optical Drives: NEC 3520 DRD-RW; Toshiba 16X DVD-ROM
Case: CoolerMaster Stacker (black; with modded, etched window)
Speakers: Altec Lansing MX5021 2.1 Speakers
Bells/Whistles: Black Gatewatch Component Control/System Monitor; CoolerMaster Dual Purple Cold Cathode; Zalman 7000Cu CPU Cooler

I've been waiting a long time - will post pics once it comes in and is completely built.

Ya wow look at ure sig, it even has a....MODEM! wtfz.

Nice system, the GFX card is a PCI-E right, not AGP?

Dillusion - yeah, it's PCI-e (neglected that part - sorry). And it is a step up - I'll actually be able to play Diablo II!!!!

EF- And if I do have issues with the Hauppauge, I will keep the Power Color reference in mind - thanks for the heads up. It came down to this one and the ATI TV Wonder Pro Elite - I have used a AIW 9000 and it's been serviceable, but nothing great. Decided to try something else.

Ya i just ordered the rig in my sig today, cant wait. Good thing you got the right GFX card, people have a habit of fitting AGP cards into x16 slots.

RazorOve if u play diablo 2, and u wanna get started ill hook u up wit some gear on USEast if u want to play.

i have an almost identical setup save the power supply and the 2 seagate HDs and the TV Tuner and a couple other small things...u should be very happy with it...i am :p
