I was planning on getting to Ultra Microfly cases from Tigerdirect with the 400watt Ultra V-series power supplies in them.

Everyone is saying that the powersupply is not trustworthy, and it should be replaced. Currently at the moment I can't find a good deal on the case minus the PSU, but if I do happen to come across a good deal.. what kind of PSU can you recommend for 2 of these systems:

1)
E2180
7800GTX
2GB Ram
Hard drive
Dvd Drive

2)
Pentium D 805 2 core 2.66GHz
8600GT
2GB Ram
Hard Drive
DVD drive

Might try to overclock the first system to 2.5GHz

At any point I might put an 8800GT in the 2nd system..

but what is the lowest price PSU anyone can recommend to be put in these systems.

Usually when I have built computers before, I just go for the cheapest, or whatever comes with the case I buy, until I started browsing [H] i didn't know the importance of having a good one.

Ultra V-Series 400-Watt Power Supply: so this power supply isn't that good? in the PSU thread it says Ultra is a good brand. The only one to stay away from is the x-connect? Or am I reading that wrong?

The problem with Ultra is that their line up of PSUs varies a lot in quality. The Ultra X2 750W is a total POS but the Ultra X3 1000W PSU is an excellent PSU. HardOCP has reviewed six Ultra PSUs so far:

Half the reviewed PSUs were crap while the other half were great PSUs

Anyway, I'm getting my info about the Ultra V Series 400W PSU from here:

Since that V-Series 400W is bundled with the Ultra Microfly, according to the link above, it's a Yue Lin made PSU. IIRC, Yue-Lin don't make good PSUs. So I wouldn't trust that PSU for a gaming rig.
