Hey guys, I'm looking for a cheap psu for a dual socket a system.

Mobo: Tyan S2460
http://www.tyan.com/PRODUCTS/html/tigermp_spec.html

According to the spec sheet I need something w/ 30a on the +5v, and using the recommended list in the sticky, I'm leaning towards this enermax:

If I need more power, this is an option:

But I'm trying to keep this one cheap.

Not going to be too much in this system, 1gb of ram, probably 4 ide devices and a geforce 3 ti.

What do you guys think?

Yeah I skimmed through the fsp supplies the other day, forgot to mention that in the post. The 350w looks pretty good for the price.

Oklohoma_Wolf could point to you the best fit FSP for that setup. Me I would look around the net and see if anyone is still holding some of the older Turbo-Cool's.

Either that one or the FSP530-60GNA would get my vote, though Falcon's middle choice (FSP350-60BN) is also a very good suggestion. If you prefer 120mm fans, look for the FSP350-60PN or FSP400-60PN.

I would stay away from any ATX 2.0 units for such a high 5v draw rig.

Ok, I went ahead and ordered the FSP350-60BN. I'm trying to keep this one kinda cheap. I can always run one cd-rom and one hd to keep the draw down a bit. I wanted to order something quick as I bought the cpus/mobo/ram from the FS forum. I don't currently have a suitable psu for it, so I didn't want to order a psu in a week then find out that something died in shipping 2 weeks after I got it - wouldn't be very fair to the seller.

Thanks for the input as always

You might be surprised what that little 350W FSP can handle - I've heard of that model powering dual rigs before without problems ;)
