Im getting ready to order some parts for a new build for my nephew. He basically surfs the web but just got into WOW 2-3 months ago. I want this fairly cheap, I wasnt expecting to put out this money at Christmas time, but his old pc went south last week. Im figuring on going with..

Mobo-GIGABYTE GA-880GMA-UD2H

CPU-Athlon II X4 640 Propus 3.0GHz

HD(from my system,giving to him)Intel X25-M 80G SSD

I have most other stuff laying around. Hes got Windows 7 Pro 64bit. He will be using a monitor(dont know the brand) at 1680x1050 I think, no higher res than that. Reason for the new case....his old case was a Dell case and airflow was non existent.

What I need is a decent PSU. I have/like Corsair. Size? Any other recommendations?

Do you think I can fit Windows 7 and WOW on the 80G SSD? He is also buying a SATA HD for storage, I guess I wont run into problems putting his programs on the storage drive if he runs low on space on the SSD.

Sorry I didnt fill out the questionaire. Pretty simple though, he just surfs the web and plays WOW and uses some messaging program to talk to his buddies while he plays. Thanks for any suggestions. Oh and Merry Christmas to ya's!
 
Ditch the CPU and motherboard and go with this combo instead for $20 more:
$220 - AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition CPU + Asus M4A87TD/USB3 AM3 AMD 870 ATX Motherboard Combo

You'll get a significantly jump in performance for just a mere $20 more.

PSU wise, I recommend the following PSUs:
$73 - Antec NEO ECO 620C 620W PSU
$90 - Corsair 650TX 650W PSU

Yes Windows 7 + WOW should fit on an 80GB SSD.
 
Thanks Danny. Just completed the order. I did get the Corsair PSU. But decided to go with another combo(not an Asus fan)..

Just wanted to say thanks to Danny for answering so quickly. All you guys jump in really quick.....that kind of attention and help for your fellow enthusiasts is really appreciated. I made some quick decisions through the holidays, and after posting here/completing an order, I checked Newegg this morning.....by getting some good info and makiing the order when I did, I saved over $150 on the sales I got in on. Thanks again guys!
