PSone screen problem

So im trying to hook my psone screen up to my PC with an RCA cable. im using a evga 7800gt When I boot up windows, the psone screen displays fine. The windows XP loading screen looks great and its in color. As soon as I get to the welcome logon screen, the psone screens picture turns to black and white. same problem occurs on the desktop. I have the program powerstrip and ive been looking around on it but cant find anything to tweak this thing into working. I took some pictures to show what happens.

colordepth or resolution problem?


try 800x600 and 16bpp

no success on chaning the res and color.. i tried lots of different combinations

my primary > 800x600 16color
psone screen > 640x480 16color

still black and white.

Try changing around the connection type, I had this problem before. I believe the solution was to define the connection as composite aposed to Auto Select.

damn.. i hate to say it but that only worked until i restarted my comp.. now its back to the same problem. when i attempt to define the 2nd display as composite, the screen flickers as its changing. at this point i can see color for a split second and then the screen turns black. but the backlight is on, just looks as though nothing is hooked up to it.

Did you ever fix the problem? My friend has the same problem, but he didn't do the mod... he has the problem going to his TV and it is in b&w.

i guess i fixed it but its so annoying to work with i just dont use it at all. not sure how to fix a problem with the tv though.
