Are you trying to score d-bag points?

First off, Kyle has nothing to do with the news. That's all Steve (the column of nothing but Steve as the thread starter in the news forum should have given that away).

Also, a lot of things get posted on the news forum when people send links to Steve. So instead of making your smarmy post, you could have PMed that link to Steve.

Thirdly, you do realize that [H] and newegg aren't exactly the best of friends, right?

I would expect more from an almost 11-year veteran of [H]ardForum.

kyle is the editor.

for the sake of transparency, it's important for people to know that there is an agenda at work.

Is it really big news anyway? Not like NewEgg is the first major retailer to back Bitcoin, many have done it already, they are late to the game.

Only thing that'd surprise me is Amazon adding it at this point.

And hell Newegg was selling graphics cards as part of bundles they marketed specifically for mining months ago... no idea why it took them this long to add it.

Sure, but Front Page News is Steve's show. Pretty sure Kyle doesn't micromanage, much less micromanage Steve.

Wow, tinfoil hat much?

What agenda would that be? They've been pretty agnostic in their cryptocurrency-related news reporting.

Now, an agenda against Newegg? You damn well better believe it. Are you not aware of how Newegg fucked [H] over on ad revenue? You're not going to see any free advertising for Newegg on this site.

i'm thinking that you dont understand what the tinfoil hat is, since you basically admitted that the conspiracy against newegg and bitcoin on this forum exists by virtue of the fact that there is bad blood between [hh] and newegg.

this site has always been overtly political, and i was only pointing out that fact.

Are you high?

Bad blood <> Conspiracy

And how does bad blood between [H] and newegg equate to a conspiracy against Bitcoin?

Turns out, Kyle does not like getting fucked over. Newegg significantly cut their commission percentage to [H]. When Kyle tried to negotiate with them, they basically said it was their way or the highway. So Kyle took the highway.

yeah soudns exactly like kyle getting fucked over :D:D:D:D:D:D on ad revenue. it's standard business decisions.

now kyle basically begs us everywhere to use his links and when people complain he asks them to install software onto their computer

Yup, standard business decisions. And Kyle made a standard decision for his business as well. His site, his rules. If you don't like it, I'm sure he'd be willing to show you the door.

Why I'm not surprised by anything the regulars post here anymore. This site has always been political ever since the beginning.

It's hipocritical for Steve and kyle to post links that do noy present balanced arguments that discuss snowden, MPAA, Risa, net neutrality, etc. When he is the first guy that's shoving sponsored links down our throats, soliciting memberships for forum access, and telling people to download software when they don't like it.

So what do you expect? Hipocritical? You ARE high, aren't you?

It's their site. Are they not fully within their rights to post what they want? It's not like [H] is some sort of legitimate news agency where there's a reasonable expectation of "fairness and impartiality".

That's like chiding Jon Stewart for always presenting things with a liberal spin.

Plus, nobody's making you troll these forums, ya know. Well, at least I hope not. That would just be bizarre.

newegg will never be higher than like third when it comes to choices of where to buy from. Amazon is still king. They have no need to accept BTC directly cause gyft has them covered nicely.

Do you have any idea what it means to possess journalistic integrity?

This site heavily promotes itself as a member of the media that reports and reviews technology and hardware. The amount of original content that flows out of this site is enormous.

The lack of reporting on this matter demonstrates a clear lack of objectivity, and that reflects heavily on [h] as a news oriented website.
