what about the Wii?Get all three.
My PS3 is connected to my Dell 3008WFP (HDMI) and my XBox360 to my 52in Samsung (HDMI).
They can't compare to my PC's graphics, but still enjoyable.

Interestingly enough, I enjoy my Wii much more than the PS3 and nearly as much as my PC.
When the Wii specs were released, I thought it was going to be the crappiest next get system... Just goes to show you that Gameplay > Graphics.
Unfortunately, except of few notable exceptions, PC gaming is going nowhere.
Equivalent to a 7900GT, to be precise. PC>XBox 360>PS3 IMO.
I'm thinking about buying a Wii to go along with my PC gaming. Like some of you guys said, I can understand how it could be a lot of fun being so different compared to the 'other' consoles and pc games. I think the PC is the best gaming platform unless your are uber hardcore because you pc exclusives an console games plus everything else you can do on a pc. I think the best gaming combo is Wii and pc for variety alone.

Your opinion is wrong, IMO.
Actually, there's another reason for that, the developers of Ghostbusters even mentioned the problem a few times in various interviews.I figure it's a sign of things to come.

take it from someone who made the mistake of getting one, the wii is shit.

Take it from someone who bought a Wii on launch day, the Wii is awesome. Hell, I played it while waiting on the PS3 to update one game, and then install another. Unless you don't have any RL friends that like to game, then it probably won't be as fun.
I use my PC to game on my 40" HDTV all the time. Not sure why you think that's not practical.
This is more or less a console vs PC debate. Consoles will always have the better variety of games. That alone is a huge reason why, to me, consoles beat PCs for gaming. Yes, the PC version of multi-ported games will almost always be superior to the console version. But that doesn't mean diddly when you are up against the likes of Final Fantasy XIII, Super Mario/Zelda, and what have you. The type of games that the PC gaming library is sorely missing.
The main reason I built my gaming PC is for MMORPGs and FPS. And even those types of games are becoming more and more available on consoles.
I also think consoles have a few more pluses. Less cheaters, and everyone tends to be on the same playing field. I like that.
how many people do you know use their main rig for watching blu-ray movies over hdmi to a 1080p television and use the same computer for hardcore gaming?
i dont believe the normal consumer would even know how to put something like that together or even build a computer for that matter.
How about someone who got one who thinks it's "the" shit? The only mistake you're making is thining your opinion will apply to everyone. Clearly, the popularity of the system proves that not to be the case.
Mmmm.. McDoubleburgers.Just like the popularity of McDonald's proves that they serve some pretty good food, amirite?
Actually you can do it for around $300 if you played your cards right. What makes the pc better from a money stand point is the price of the games. You can get good pc games on sale for $5-10 all the time.
Ok, going to have to call BS on this one good Sir. You cannot build a pc that can out do a PS3 for $300.
Show me a PC with optical output, hdmi output, blu ray drive, 80gb hard drive, etc. for "$300" that will out do a ps3 in gaming.
Don't forget you are going to need to buy at least windows xp, motherboard, a decent dual core processor most likely, case, power supply, good ram...and probably some descent fans to keep your system as quiet as a ps3...oh and I doubt it will be quiet as a ps3.
I think windows xp and a blu ray drive will run you about $200, good luck with the other $100, lol.
And the price of games is absolutely negligible. Most games for the ps3 you can find on craigslist for a fraction of the cost. And when you are done with the game you just sell them. Final cost of games for me usually is $0 to $5 after I sell them back. And believe me, it's actually easier and faster to sell ps3 games on craigslist because people actually have to buy ps3 games. Where as if you try to sell a pc game, you probably won't be able to because all the hacks are downloading them, lol.
How do you play PS3 games on your PC?
Text on PC games are nigh unreadable even on a 52" LCD from a very generous sitting distance (~4 feet). You could lower the resolution, but then it would look (ALOT) worse than a console game.
He was joking... Specially reconfirmed by the "mods should kill this post" like comment at the end.![]()
