T-Mobile's data network has been semi-decent for the sole reason that no one uses it. That is about to change in a huge way if this actually goes through, which won't be good for data users on that network.

On the flipside, why would they even consider rolling out something like this if they knew the network couldn't handle it.
All we can really do is wait and see but if they get 3G in my area, I may just leave AT&T.
sprint has been the biggest pusher of a network that is designed to stream audio and video. they will be the first to have video chat phones, and their network is consistently faster then other carriers. tmo sucks for streaming, as does att. an unlimited plan from either of those companies wouldnt mean a whole lot when you cant even stream orb effectively.
Kinda sucks how carriers here love to restrict so many things. Europe has had video calling capability for probably at least 4 years. AT&T actually offers 1-way video calling right now as far as I remember (as none of their phones have front facing cameras).Actually rogers would be the first NA carrier with video phonesHave had them for a while. THEORETICALLY, ATT could do them right now if they wanted to.
So it is official now, and not sure if this is a killer deal or not ?

If you want Unlimited minutes that's $59, + Unlimited Data + Text that's $40 = grand total of $99 per month. Thats good, way better than ATT for sure, but Sprint has that beat with their pricing I thought of like $70 a month Unlimited everything plan ?
So at the end of the day the Project Black is just a $99 per month plan for Unlimited everything. I am not too impressed
It's not gonna be the iPhone, that's not switching anytime soon. My guess is that it'll be some combination of the "crazy new phone" and the "network upgrades".
Android and T-Mobile FTW
