programmable LED fans

I've heard ppl have problems with them. Some complain about the quality of the fans and that they don't last long. Others mention that if the fan isn't spinning at the right RPM all the time, the LEDs don't sync properly and it just looks like a mess.

If you can get it cheap though, go for it and let us know.
