just as above when i try to clock the card nothing happends i can take the memory and core to anything but it just doesnt seem to work its just like the card is locked or something i have tried both Ati Tool & Ati Tray Tool anyone got any ideas ?

Did you hit apply? May sound stupid, but in my experience the most obvious answers are the hardest ones to find :D If not, what brand is it? Also, you need that overclocking program to stay running in the backround to keep the overclocking settings. If you have the program shutdowned completely, those overclocking settings will not take place.

i have done all that the brand is GeCube witch a Zalman VF700-Cu

On ATItool check to make sure you don't have the core and memory safety range set too low. Also make sure you have the latest versions.

Try using Rivatuner to overclock your card. Also, just in case it matters, go into the Catalyst Control Center, go to Overdrive and unlock it, if it's locked (if it's locked, the lock icon on the top right should be closed).
