I got a LG 32LD400 (basically a 32LD450 minus an HDMI input) today and I'm having some difficulties getting it to run properly connected with a DVI-HDMI cable.
If I use a DVI-VGA cable everything looks beautiful at 1920x1080 but if I run it at any lower resolutions it only displays as 1400x900 (also had some problems getting Crysis to display properly if I ran it natively). So ideally I want to run it through DVI-HDMI which is where the problem is.
If I use DVI-HDMI and run it in native 1920x1080 it looks like total garbage. I think the tv is applying some awful set of filters, because if I turn it down to 1680x1050 it looks like it does using VGA (pretty) just scaled to 1680x1050. Also, when I hit the button that displays on my tv what resolution it's running at, it will just say "1680x1050 @ 60hz". When I set it to 1920x1080 it shows up as "[16:9] 1080/60p", making me think they're catering to people who are just using this as a television. I don't know if that makes any sense but that's the feeling I get. If anyone has any idea or suggestions as to how I might get this to run natively via HDMI and not look awful, I would really appreciate it because as it is I'm likely going to return this if I can't get it working properly.
