Been using it for a couple of years and has met all my needs.....now when I try to download the schedule updates I keep getting an error message:

"No listings available for the current date, please check your system date and zip code/postal code."

All is correct......anyone else having this problem ...is it just a problem with the service????
Can anyone suggest another service.....this one is sooooo easy to use to record shows for my wife as she goes to bed early.....just one click and I'm done.

It sounds, with the little information that you have given, that you are using either a VCR or TV capable of pulling Guide+ data to schedule your recordings. If that is so, then I think there is something going on where they are changing around the data channels. I have an RCA TV at the house that also pulls Guide+ data and I noticed the other day that the lineup data is all missing. I don't use it anymore (I just use the program guide in Sage) so I haven't bothered to try and locate the new data channel.

No...actually it is my old system.....1 gig PIII with 512 meg of RDram and an ATI capture card...came with guide plus.....I just send the file over the network to the computer in the bedroom so she can watch.....:D

Hmmm... I'm not sure how it's working, but my advice remains the same. See if you can find if the data channel has changed.

not sure what you mean....I've always had to download the data weekly.....it is trying to download....just no data...

The way that Guide+ works is that the lineup is broadcast over one of your local channels. Normally, you have to go through a set-up where you search through the channels to find which one the Guide+ data is transmitted across. In most cases, it is either the local PBS or Community Access channel although I have seen it sent on the "TV Guide" channel. You need to go into your software and re-run the setup program to find the data channel.

Hmmmmmmmmm I have tried that.actually uninstalled the software and reinstalled and run the entire setup process multple times......to no avail...I have always had to go online and download the updates......I be confused now....

Sorry, can't help you then. Maybe someone who is more familiar with the software can chime in to help.

wonders never cease.....came home this evening and tried again....still get the error message.....but it did download and installl the listings for tomorrow and the rest of the week.....WTF??????????:D Computers never cease to amaze me:p

yea its really weird. i get the exact same problem. i have yet to find a solution to it.

I've had the same problem for a while too, and have tried just about everything to try to fix the problem (reinstall, reformat, different versions, different drivers, etc). I believe Guide+ is just not putting the listing data for my zip on their server, because I've tried other zips and some of those work. Don't know whether to blame Gemstar or Comcast, but in either case I'm dissappointed :(
