Wow, am I ever disapointed with the costemer service at Altec Lansing audio. About 6 months ago, I purchased the AHS502 headset from them. For the first 4.5 months, it was the best 40 bucks i've ever spent on computer hardware. Then the microphone just all the sudden stopped working. I emailed costemer service, no response. I called them, put on hold for almost 15 minutes before I hung up. OK, so i have a great set of headphones that I used for music. Well about 2 or 3 weeks after the microphone goes, my headphones go, so basicly it's a 40 dollar piece of crap taking up desk space. I"ve probably sent them about 10 emails in the past month, called them 3 times, all 3 times I get put on hold until I just give up. I am very disapointed with Altec Lansing, sure I'll agree they do make great products, but they can't back it up with support. I know that my warenty is still good, but I can't get a hold of anyone to know what to do with my fricken headset..... I thought this would be my last chance before it sees the bottom of my garbage can, right next to my labtecLVA-8550 headset, my microsoft wireless elite mouse, and my creative labs 2.1 sound system....
Oh, i've also got my 350 dollar flat panel screen sittin down there too, but well that's kinda my fault, but for sum odd reason, they won't repair deep gashes in the screen. lol, that was the worst lan party ever..... No boos + no screen = no games which in turn equals no fun....
although the only upside to that is taking the baseball bat to it after figuring out nothing can be done. Now that was pretty cool watching the screen ooze out.....
