Problems running F@H GPU2 client on two GPUs

I'm just going to bet it's to motherboard and call it a night, so far.

I will be up tomorrow night, but I have (yet another) group project to present tommorrow...

Good night!

of course... he's offline before me ;)

arrch... it's even more likely a motherboard issue, as I cannot find any info on dual GPU setups not even working, on the official F@H forum.

I guess, the best way is to try out another DC client, and see if that too, gives an error.

If you just have a single card in the second slot, does it fold ??

In Device Manager, check that the second card has the correct drivers.

All my GPU folders are multi-systray ones, I've had upto 8 systrays running at one time, so thats not the problem.
Check your useing the correct gpu number.
The first card is always -gpu 0, the second is -gpu 1, etc, etc.
If you use -gpu 1 in the first client, it will use the second card.
The easy way to find the correct gpu number is to go Display Properties -> Advanced -> Identify, now subtract 1 from the number shown on screen.

Ps. There is a known glitch if your trying to fold with 200 series and 8000/9000 series cards in the same box.
If it works at all then the second card may well fold slow.

Luck ........... :D

haha, ok, until I get another build with these cards, I'm going to scrap this project for the time being. In the mean time, I'll just be using the GTS250 on this machine.

The good news is though, I have a Q6600 at work with a 9500GT in it that I can use the GPU2 client and the SMP client on at the same time (which has been folding since Friday), so hopefully that will pick up the slack of the 8800GTS320.

Thanks again jeremyshaw for all of your help and everyone else. :)

Fold on!

You're always welcome.
(even if I didn't manage to do nada).

EDIT: This next part is stupid...
GTS250?? You weren't the one who bought it off from the DC fs/ft area, were you? :)

You (didn't) know I was saving for that?
