problems in battlefield 2 demo

hey im having a problem in that game, the problem is the textures go all wierd like in the pic below.

also see the writting u cant read it.

the parts that i play the game with are in my sig not the upcoming one except for the ram i have got the corsair xpert series ram in there. also i really need to know what is doing this because its just not for this game its also for the new inferno map in counter strike source, painkiller and some others i cant think of.

What version Cats are ya using? How long has the problem been happening. Do you driver lap (install drivers over eachother), does it happen in Doom3?

5.4 is the driver version the textures problem in css has beend happening since the inferno map was release i used the driver cleaner thing yesturday so i dont think i have overlap the drivers and i played doom3 once on my system and it didnt happening in it that i know of. ill put some more pics up of the biggest problem i have in bf2.

You are uninstalling the drivers before you use the cleaner right?

I asked about Doom3 because every game you are asking about is using D3D, since its not artifacting in Doom3 (opengl) theres a good chance your card is fine.

I think the pics you have suffice.

Let me know if you're uninstalling the previous drivers through Add/remove hardware.

I had the same problems. I had the Omega 4.11's then upgraded to the catalyst 5.6's and the problem was still happening so I used the driver cleaner and got rid of anything to do with ati on my comp. I then installed the catalyst 4.12's and I played for 2 hours without a single graphics glitch.

DICE stated there was a known issue in CAT 5.5.

They (DICE) recommend CAT 5.1's if 5.5 causes display corruption.

I'm using 5.6's without an issue, but they said it was card depedent.

yes i uninstalled the drivers first then rebooted and then used the driver cleaner thing then rebooted agian then installed the drivers back on and still ,could it be the actual drivers u think.

me again here are heaps of pic of bf2 demo and the problem i am having has some of u already seen now the pics im showing are at 1024x768 res with medium settings on the game with the 5.4 ati drivers has agian some of u know also some may appear to be fine here they are.

me agian just letting u's know that i have fixed it it was the drivers i fell stupid now i should of tryed that in the first place anywho i would like to thank u all for helping and if u want some more pics of bf2 demo just pm me ok anyway later and thanks again.also i got the lastest drivers of ati (5.6 ccc) if u are woundering

yeah the game runs and looks much better now the only problem i still have is after a game online and then stay in the same game but loading to next match sometimes it just locks up and on the screen is colors in vertical lines so than i have too restart pc, but it could be just a demo thing.

hmm i get a smililar problem with my x850xt pe..but all my other games r fine..
ive only played it once...half of the map was black too...do u think it just didnt load properly?

yeah thats my new gaming pc that im building (slowly im going mad about it) also im thinking of changing that for a X850XT videocard (from X800XL) cause its only $200aus more cant wait.

also with my 9600XT i think it was defective when i got it, had nothing but problems with it since i brought the dam thing i cant overclock at all even a 1mhz overclock it stuff's up, but now it running all good the only problems i still have is

1)now and then it will crash into vertical color lines on monitor.(only in BF2 demo).

2)its getting slower in newer games i play. (of course its a old card and old computer parts).

Dude if you can wait another 2 months with your current rig you could snag a R520 or G70 card for that kind of money.......I say grit your teeth and fight through with the 9600 for a little while longer. You will be so happy you did.

damn i already order them which i seen this earlier i was playing with my new logitech Z-5500 speakers but i got to return them the sound keep cutting out but thats another story.
