Any idea or contact of this guy?

When was last time you tried to contact him?

You might want to contact MODs, they will step in.

(His profile shows that he was online 12hrs ago )

he hasn't been online since the 10-22-13 where did you see he was online 12hrs ago?

I have brought from him before with no problems. I would give him until he comes back online before getting 2 worried.

I actually pm'd him about the thread you posted "Forum Help & Feedback." He stated he was on a extended vacation and would take care of it. I have bought from him with zero problems. Communication and shipping was great.

Have you checked paypal? I'm not sure how you paid for the item. Look in the account or even call them maybe? Perhaps something happened to him. Hopefully not but you never know.

Now here is the issue you are fixing to run into.

You don't even have enough post to be buying to begin with. Perhaps it was through pms. But that will be the next thing that is going to be brought up. I'm guessing it is a 100 post limit before you can get in the threads and purchase. I'm not attacking you, just wanted to point that out.

I think jlqrb is a tester and have bought an item from him in the past. Im sure others will chime in as well. He was an A+++ seller when I was dealing with him.

I buy from jiqrb whenever I can. He always has great prices for quality hardware.
Give him sometime.

There is no rule about buying without the posts. Only to post in the forum. If people are not paying attention and doing their due diligence when a PM comes, thats their error.

So why is there a 100 post minimum to participate? Participate would mean buying, selling or trading from what I understand. Doesn't make much sense to have a rule and then not use it here. As I said I don't care but most people will look at that as a red flag. The same could be said about Amazon payments. The buyer gets zero protection when they use that. Big gray area in a lot of stuff here. But it has nothing to do with me. I was just stating my opinion on it.

Bottom line is [H] can't control what you do through a pm here though. That is on the seller what he/she decides to do.

Just a note, it's 50 posts to be able to post in the sale forum, not 100.

"(16) No BUYING, TRADING, or SELLING anywhere with the exception of the For Sale / Trade forum. The FS/T forum has its own set of specific rules and has a required 50 post minimum to participate"

It has been changed now. Trying not to get off topic here though.

New Rules

Welcome to the For Sale/Trade Forum. The FS/T forum has its own set of specific rules and has a required 100 post minimum to participate.

Looks like jlqrb's heatware is 187-1-0, and he's ranked 395 out of 92,000 users. With heatware like that I really don't think he's trying to screw you over for $155.

Sometimes SHIT happens. I remember that there was one forum member who had a for sale thread here and got in a bad motorcycle accident. He was laid up for over a month.

@Waveforme -- I know who you're talking about, and that poor fellow has AFAIK not logged in since shortly after his accident.

Give him more time. I had bought stuff from him on 18th,and the next day he provided the tracking number, but it didn't update until yesterday when he dropped the package off according to the tracking number.

yah,

I'm trying to give more time and my feedback is 100% too, I did 7 deals with him and all 100% okay with no problem, this is my first problem here and with him,

htsauce2007 my heat...

I don't have 500 messages because I don't like to flood and just want to do some deals and change my computer hardware,

Ive dealt with him before, no issues, Im sure he will take care of the issue.
He was prompt in my deal as far as I can remember

in order for someone to buy or sell through PM, they must have read the F/S section to see what you wanted or what you had to sell...........reading through it is fine, but once they offer to buy or sell in a PM, they are participating.....

PM trading for a new user is quick way to get themselves banned

I recently bought 2x8GB Corsair Memory from him on Oct 19th, but what I got from the mail was two 4GB sticks of quad kit 16GB (4x4GB). I pm'ed him since the day I had received the package and just email'ed to the email linked with his paypal account/heatware a few days ago, but I haven't received any response yet. I will give him a day or two to resolve the problem, if not then I will file a dispute with paypal.

He said this
if we see people that are only here for abusing FSFT without contributing to the community, they will be escorted to the door.

and I said this
PM trading for a new user is quick way to get themselves banned

essentially the same thing.....

Anyway, do whatever you want, but I suggest you take your own advice.

I've been bombarded by them and I usually just tell them no
it's not worth the hassles for me unless they are willing to pay USPS money order. Ironically, they usually decline. Wonder why.

I agree, but your comment made it seem like it was completely against the rules. I just wish instead of everyone being vague about it, pick one side or the other and make it clear whether or not it is allowed.

The problem is not the rules, is the money that we can't get...

I'm glad because I can post here, instead that I could loose all the money since I;m new and can't tell what's happen. I'm not telling this to mess with the guy Im just here to show that we have a problem and is not only me, people can see and wait for a solution...

have you opened a paypal claim for the money yet?

You waited over two months before deciding to make a thread about this?

yah bro, since I;m from brazil the vga took too much time to arrive here, I was looking for the shipping label and the track never changed, the problem is the label was created but he never ship the vga, I don't know why...

No, I can't since the 45 days is over, the guy took 88 days till now...

well you pretty much screwed unless he helps you out. He seems to have been online recently, has he answered any of your PM's?

Honestly I think you waited way to long, how did you let 3 months go by before do anything ?

I don't think he will answer OP's pms or my pm. Gonna file a dispute tomorrow morning.

yep that the first sign that something is up, when they online and stop responding.
Wonder what happened he was a good trader.

I could do anything before because I'm not in USA, so I couldn't see if the vga was there or not, he took 25 days to send the tracking ( as usual, he always take a lot of time to send the track ) and after that 15 days to usps show that not was shipped, I don't know what is the problem with this guy, he was a good seller, I did five or six deals with him and no problem at all, this is my first problem here and with this user.

I sent another pm but he never reply...

I sent him a PM that he needs to respond here and deal with this issue......

As has been mentioned, this fella is a reviewer (staff member @ Real World Labs) so you could try going to the Contact section of the site and send him an email, and perhaps send an email to the Owner, as well, and explain the situation and then ask for assistance in contacting him. Perhaps there has been an illness or something else that is the cause of the communication failure.

Like several others, I have traded with this fella before and while sometimes he was a little slow to respond to an email ( a couple of days, as opposed to within a 24-hour period), the trades were all completed without any issues. I have to believe that there is something going on other than a trader gone bad.

He may be a good trader; however, not responding to emails is quite absurd. It's not like he didn't log in for 88 days.

I don't disagree with you at all that, as a general rule, there is no excuse for lack of communication. Once the communication stops it is more often than not the sign of troubles to come.

That said, given the guy's prior track record there may very well be a reason for the failure to communicate so I've offered the OP another way to attempt to contact him. He has dealt with the Seller before, so for all I know he may have already attempted this.

I bought a video card from him back in later april, he's slow to ship but I got the card about a week later. I'm not siding with him but he's been around for quite a while, i agree with Reefa on this, one more try contacting him might not be a bad idea at all.
