Problem with michael100

I am done with this guy, as I been more than forgiving in asking different methods to send payment through this 'unfortunate' issue. He is still stuck on asking for my bank account in which I do not want to give. He still says he is overseas with no options to send money. He can't add a bank account because paypal will send a letter to his home address in the us and he is not in the us. Sounds like lies to me.:(

he isnt oversees his IP address is the same as the one he used to make the FS threads. He is a scammer and you need to cal his local police department.

His answer is this:
"I study in Boston and right now I'm in Belgium."
I will be reporting to the authorities.

he is using an IP address from kansas city missouri so its just lies. He is a scammer

give his money back, stop beating around the bush and making it difficult. Use western union, I worked for them, its SIMPLE to do, and can be done just about anywhere in the world. All you need is the buyers full name and telephone number and city to pick it up. Go do that now and stop being a low life scammer.

There is no way he should have to give up his bank account information to get a refund, that is bullshit. There are plenty of safe ways of exchaning money, direct deposits are not one of them.

I don't have a cc.

This thread is ridiculous. Unless michael100 is a complete moron, like he is playing, then there is no reason that he cant find a way to refund the money. Numerous options have been shown to him, and the one that he is focused on is getting your bank account information. I wonder why? I mean, its obvious that this guy is a scammer. You need to pursue any means necessary to get your money back, without relying on all the false claims to refund your money that michael100 keeps promising. I hope that he gets a ban from here and also some nice negative heat to insure that he wont do this to another buyer.

michael100, you can take cash to a physical western union location, or via debit/credit over phone or online at westernunion.com.

As long as I don't have something to proof I paid the money, the paypal claim won't close.
Bank transfer is by far the easiest way to proof this very clear for rick, to paypal and to me.

Actually once timberwarp has the funds, he can close the claim with paypal from his side. As the person who paid and didn't receive the merchandise, it would be in good faith for you to send him the money and trust that he would do that.

I don't want lose 450 dollar again, fair enough?
I need to be sure paypal will close the claim.
you might know paypal is very odd with proof of delivery/cashback etc.
buyers and sellers are not allowed to close a claim. (only disputes)

You can GO to a Western Union and use CASH... or is there no cash where you are either? Seriously, go to WU and pay in cash and everything will be DONE.

my only question is why would the seller accept the buyers payment for the iphone if the iphone was sold in the first place? all the seller had to do when the buyer send the payment was deny/don't accept and the buyer will get his money back. isn't that's how paypal do? buy no, seller accepted the buyers money even though he sold the phone? hope you get your money back OP.

In an item not refused claim, there should be an option for "I have refunded the buyer'. But, really, you're right to be wary of not sending money via a different method. You need to work it out with paypal, and refund that way.

michael100, you can take cash to a MoneyGram agent and buy a MoneyGram International Money Order.

http://www.moneygram.com/MGIUS/ConsumerProductsandServices/MoneyOrder/index.htm

Use the "Locate us through our Find Us tool " and find your local agent. There are 3 agents in Belgium.

- Safe way to pay bills and send funds through the mail
- Guaranteed, widely accepted form of payment
- Receipt of transaction, traceable <-- THIS is what you need for PROOF that you sent refund.
- Refundable
- Easy to cash

Now get to it. :)

Paypal awarded me some money back (whatever was left in his account) but it is only 1% of the value I sent over.

No word from Michael on this post or from email as he still believes that nothing is wrong.

I replied to your PM, I hope you can get this resolved.

Guys, just do the bank transfer. You DO NOT have to give him your account #. Bank name, routing #, and your name are all that is required to do the transfer. If you don't believe me, check with your bank and they can ensure the safety of the transfer. If this is the way that micheal100 wants to transfer, let him do it, but do it on the terms that the above information is ALL that you will give him. Either that, or have the bank setup an 'inbound' account only to receive the transfer, and then move the money to your normal checking after the funds have been secured. Do not use this new account for ANYTHING other than this transfer, and then you could give him the account number if you wanted to. Once completed, close out the account. Your branch/bank account exec should be happy to help, especially in the case where you have a fraud-type concern. If you have any questions about it, please let me know and I'll be happy to elaborate. I was in the banking software business for 3 years and have a pretty good idea of their protocols :)

Michael, unless Belgium is now a city in Missouri, no one here is buying that you're out of the country. And even if they are, you've been provided with a vast quantity of solutions to this issue that are applicable all over the world.

I genuinely hope that the OP got the full sum of his money refunded, because you're shady in more ways than I can even count.

I'm sorry if you feel/felt like strange people were being harsh towards you, but when you take $450 from a guy and suddenly disappear and are "unable" to provide a refund, people are going to have a tendency to react poorly. This is going to be a trend no matter where you are.

If you're the scammer that many people here rightfully suspect that you are, it's still advisable to walk away from his one. Cut your losses and move on. Try starting the Michael100 charity fund, at least people won't expect to get anything back whenever they send you money.

Though old, I'd like to offer my words of advice.

If Hard is on board (and it appears they are), take the non masked IP, contact the ISP with the relevant documents (proof you've been scammed), subpoena them to give up their address and file a report with the local police. They'll knock on the door, scare the guy and you might just get your money back.
