Problem with Athon 64 3700+

I have an athlon 3700+ that is taking days and up to weeks to finish work units. Is this normal? Current unit info from FAHMON:

Core: Amber
Project 2170
Credit 234 Points
Downloaded 2d 10h 00mn ago

It is 60% done after 2.5 days and FAHMON is reporting that this CPU is putting out 34 ppd?!

I have Pentium 3's that can put out more points per day than that!
 
Not good, you should be getting at least 140-210 ppd out of that chip.

-Check for any background tasks chewing up cycles.
-Try running with -advmethods to get the bonus Amber units while they're still out there.

 
Is this CPU over clocked and how far? Also, how much RAM is on board?

I got more than that out of a PIII 700 on crappy gromacs work units. There is definitely something eating up cycles or something wrong with the system. Without a lot more information I wouldn't be able to guess what the problem is.

4 GB Ram

Runs Bit torrent and Outlook all day - thats it.
