Problem with Adaptec card and UEFI

I just want to share with all of you about the problem I have with my Adaptec 5805 card.

I've upgraded my home server with a MSI H67MA-E45 board and an Intel i2500 processor.

I put the Adaptec card and... the system didn't start!! Without the card all works fine.

I've contacted Adaptec support and finally, they have told me that Adaptec cards doesn't support UEFI systems!!!

The full answer was: "As for the current information, none of our controllers is supporting EFI. We have no information if this should be supported in the next future."
 
I got the exact same generic response when asking about that controllers support of 4K sectors.

I've run into similar problems but haven't been able to contact Adaptec as I brought the cards second hand.

I have a 3805 an Adaptec 5085 and a sun 5085 (the one with 256 mb). My mother board is an Asrock p67 extreme 4 mother board.

The 3805 works fine.
The sun 5085 will only run if the 3805 is in the first slot.
While the Adaptec 5085 won't post at all.

All very strange.
