Hey I primed my side panel, waited a lil bit(around 15minutes) and re-primed it and then wet sanded it down with 600grit and around the edges i got down the the bare metel but it was all flat.. do I need to re-prime and re-sand?

You dont have to but if you want a completely even paint it would be best to prime it again and then wet sand lightly. with a sandable primer you dont have to sand much, just enough to get a smooth service. Also when you do aply the paint rember where the bumb is and to sand ever so lightly over it otherwise you will be repainting it again. How big is this Spot as you might be able to get away with not repriming it.
