Prime96 question. Strangle behavior.

During 10h torture, one cpu go would go sub 100% usage and never back up.

No errors be been found tho.

What's the cause?
 
What version of Prime95 are you using? What CPU goes down? An "e core"?
 
Well, I would guess it is thermal throttling based on the temperatures in the other column. It's at 106C where all the others are significantly lower.

I don't know what you're trying to show there. Clearly HWiNFO isn't reading your temps right because there is no way you'd have 0 C temps unless you have sub-ambient cooling (unlikely). That doesn't mean that your CPU isn't throttling under Prime95 load. It's probably using AVX and your temps are too high for that core.
