I need to press the power button 15-20 times to start the power supply.

Most of the time when I press it it turns on for a split second and off right again, but it able to run perfectly if i actually get it to start up, what's wrong with the psu? it can't be dead because it works, but why can't it start up?

It could be your motherboard or faulty power switch. Check the troubleshooting FAQ to start hunting down the problem.

i doubt it's the motherboard or the power switch, the dfi lanparty expert has an onboard power switch which does the same thing, but to be certain it isnt the motherboard i can try jumping the power supply

Its probably the DFI not liking the Silverstone anymore. This happened with my old Antec and my DFI. The Antec was on its way out. :p The silverstone is likely on its way out, but I could be wrong. Startup requires the most power, btw.

so it's the power supply you think? guess i'll send it in for an rma ): using a crappy computer for 2 weeks, oh man!
