I have seen the other thread here, which was a good read but doesn´t quite solve my and assuming others, problem in getting most of it without sr-2 and similar gear.
that means more or less ok cpu´s,mine is Q8400 slightly oc,phenom 940 at 3.5 be and a 1090 at 3800 now-seems ok since last night, uppded the nb some to 2,4 too there.
Still thinking of moving in at least a zalman on 1090T,and may doubble the ram from its 2 gb currently to 4 gb, I know stock cooler aint good, but amd´s is usable at least not mention intel´s stock so that got my other zalman in house.
2 st 9800gt gtainward green with lowered everything besides shader at 1620=has proven stable, the gpu is in the q8400.
the 1090T houses two gts 250,one really good (asus dark knight at 1890,and a green gts 250 from gainward, run it at 1674 atm, really no worries there besides if I want to do big-adv I definetely needs double my memory on it,unsure if that is a good thing though,if pg groups members don´t recommend it I won´t try, even if it had been way fun
Ironically my old amd 630 did more on smp than Q8400-smp 3 but similar at -smp 4=unstable,while it doesn´t is that powerhungry either, maybe bin intel and make use of the 630?
Here is the thing, seen you folks have issues with fermi+smp/bigadv and my old cards doesn´t,at all, thought of 460 that looks nice to its price, bin smp on my intel and replace my 9800gt´s with 460 should anyway produce more at same power give or take ? Only have a 80+ chieftec 650w in that build, afraid it gets borderline ?
The other two gives good on smp so guess fermi is out there on both,I do use be 940 for gaming so that is where my current best cards is at,gtx 260,
1090 occasionally gets other work if I need it,very rare though.
Any feedback most welcome
