I just got my p180 and i want things to look neat on the inside.

Can i run a power cable under the MB? I'm looking to run the ATX12V under my A8N, so i can keep it out of sight, maybe one or two fan wires aswell...

can this be done? anything i should look out for when doing so?

you can run cables on the back side of the motherboard's mounting plate, if you have room... many people do that. Running cables between the motherboard and the mounting plate is not a good idea though, as there are many short pins sticking through the motherboard and could puncture the cable and short out your computer.

Yeah, you can run cables under the motherboard, After you lay them out and start screwing the motherboard back in make sure you don't force it or bend it at all though. It will depend on the height of the motherboard standoffs in your case as to what you can actually run behind the motherbord. Here's one I prepared earlier, I ran everything behind except the ATX connector:

I wouldn't be too concerned about pins going through cables, just make sure there is enough room. Usually there is about 10mm, and most cables that your talking about running behind the motherboard are about 3-5mm so you should be fine.

do you tape them down or anything or just run them and let the small gap keep them in place?

that is one great looking wire job. I wish i could have got a LiLi...but they use that backwards ass mounting which doesn't play nice with my heatpipes on the MB

And same question as before do you have to tape them down or anything?

That's a grade A wiring job, to be sure.
It looks like you ran the power cable for the video card around the cpu cooler?
Interesting. I'm getting a p180 soon (backordered, unfortunately), and I may use a method similar to that

I remember before there was a guy that Desolder'ed the ATX power plug on a mobo and resolder'ed it on the other side of the mobo. It was pretty cool.

And nobody cares about interference nowadays, it seems. I would say "find an alternative," but: I am the only one against the idea, don't listen to me and my "science" that I may cite with my claims one of these days.

Doo dee doo~~

well it doesn't look like i'll be able to either way...fucking 12v cable is too short, and i am not getting another power supply, i kinda like this guy.

i guess i'm gonna have to find some other way.

OK i'm having some trouble getting the cables to look good, It seems as though i can not go under the MB.

P180, SLI-Premium, Liberty 620....

ideas?

think i might just buy one of those 4to4 pin cable to get another 6 inches or so.

you can always increase the standoff height if your pcb is too close to the wires underneath.

the standoff seem to be a fine height it is just the length of the cable. It doesn't seem to be working well. To be honest i'm not sure i like the idea of having a cable this size under there anyways. I like to play it safe when it comes to my new baby.

I was searching through the forums and i found a few idea's that might work.
I am still going to have to buy one of those 4to4 cables, but i will go up the right side of the case. It might work out well. It will be 90% hidden by the drive cage.

I am in better shape than i thought, This case is a bit tricky, but i think once you take a good look at it, you find ways to hide things. Still a pain in the ass, but i think it can be done well.

No, you can't.
That would throw off the alignment of the I/O panel and card slots with the backplane.

thisisglen, that is some wicked wire management, best ive ever seen yet. Did you cut a lot of holes in the mobo tray?

Ah. Thank you. Helps.
I never picked up on half of the various forum lingo such as IIRC and STFU. Threads make more sense now.
