Hi..I need a compact energy efficient Gaming rig.
Heres my thoughts
pny xlr8 9800gtx,512mb
wd 250gb wd2500aaks sata
vista 64 home premium
lite on lh-20a1l-06 20x
zalman cnps9700 nt
gigabyte ga-ep35-ds3p
core2 duo e8400
enermax emd425awt mod82+
corsair twin2x4096-6400c-4dhx
lian li pc-a05b
thanks

Drop the 250GB and get twice as much storage for only $10 more:
Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 500GB 7200RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive - $75

Drop the Zalman HSF and go with any of these significantly better HSF:
Xigmatek HDT-S1283 120mm Rifle HSF - $37
Tuniq Tower 120 HSF - $45
ZEROtherm Nirvana NV120 120mm HSF - $50
Thermalright Ultima-90 HSF - $46 & Panaflo FBA09A12M 92mm Fan - $3
Noctua NH-U12P HSF - $60
Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme HSF - $57 & Scythe S-Flex SFF21E 120MM Case Fan - $14

Drop that heavily heavily overpriced RAM set and go with this RAM set instead:
G.SKILL F2-8000CL5D-4GBPQ 2 x 2GB DDR2 1000 RAM - $90

Also, note that with your current planned setup, you will be running that PSU at 64% load. Meaning that you may not have much room for many future upgrades. Yes that Modu82+ is one of the most energy efficient PSUs out there. However considering that you can get the Corsair 750TX 750W 80+ PSU for just $105, it's really really hard to recommend getting that Enermax PSU due to it's $99 price tag.

Thanks Danny..
I live in Hawaii..highest gas and electric bill around(US)..
Does a 700 watt PS vs 450 watt..use more electric under idle or load..
Or is it strictly based on the power the system is drawning?
Thanks too any1 who can help..Aloha
