Another thing that ought to be posted along with those other specs is the number of processes running and amount of RAM consumed before launching the game.

Difficult to benchmark, really though it's sitting at 60 (only time it slows down is when that building falls over). That's at 2560x1440 with 2xMSAA with all the settings cranked up and the SMAA injector in lieu of the horrid in game Post AA solution.

same here but its locked 80fps for me (monitor overclocked to 80hz)

I really wasn't in any big fire fights.

So looks like bf4 without deferred performs about the same as bf3 with deferred. What I was hoping for :)

doesnt this still work for FPS?

tilda key ' ~ ' and then type render.drawfps 1

I create a CFG and put it in the game dir so bf3 always shows my fps in game.

You can use ~ to open the console, then perfoverlay.drawfps 1

However I prefer FRAPS since you can record the framerate data and move the readout to the corner you want. The in-game one only goes in the top-right.

Guys.. Did his graphics card run on 2 GB vram?? or?? bcz I use a graphics card named gigabyte geforce gtx 770 oc 2gb and dont know if I will survive on this card to play ultra on bf4??

open beta soon right ? is the premium worth it on the long run ?

so far it seems to run as good as bf3..

Difficult to benchmark

I agree. The one thing about bench-marking these type of games in multi, will be the inconsistency with most people's results. I wish it had a built in benchmark tool, but yeah..

Have yet to play it, but from the little footage I've seen it does look promising.

I'm also pretty interested to see if people are hitting over 2GB of VRAM. I do wish they had a built-in benchmark just to have as an extra fun thing to do but I'll bet the release will have one.

Constant 2.5GB of VRAM usage on my GTX 780. Everything on Ultra, 2x MSAA, AA Post = Off, and Ambient Occlusion = Off.

Rig in sig, everything on High, AA Post off, fraps says 82 fps max, 22 fps min, 1.92Gb vram used. Waiting for Maxwell (assuming there is any truth to Q1/Q2 next year) to upgrade my GTX 680 since I have a Qnix QX2710 Evo II incoming in the mail, thinking I'll need a lot more juice for lots of eye candy with the higher res....

Which SMAA injector

The version I'm running doesn't seem to work on the beta

System:
CPU: 3570k @ 4.2
GPU: gtx 670 ftw @stock (Driver: Geforce 327.23)
RAM: 8 Gb
Resolution: 1920x1080
OS: windows 8 x64 (71 background processes, 2.5 Gb ram used before game launch)

Game info:
Map: Siege of Shanghai
Game Mode: Conquest Large- 64 players (server nearly full)

can't attach image...so here it goes
Fullscreen Resolution: 1920x1080
Vsync: ON
Field of View: 120
Motion Blur: 50%
Resolution Scale: 100%

All settings at Ultra, except for anti-aliasing post at High.
Anti aliasing Deferred: 2x MSAA
Ambient occlusion: HBAO

FRAPS Results
Frames: 5550
Time (ms): 100094
Min: 39
Max:63
Avg: 55.448

With this system the game runs smooth and fluidly for most part with occasional (rare) micro stutter. Overall beta looks good and my rig runs cool and quiet and haven't had any major issues :)

actually it's boolean, perfoverlay.drawfps true

I'm at max 2075 mem usage with all ultra but deferred = off, post = medium and 1200p (BF3 settings I like)

Here is FRAPS for 829 data points of SoS (a full game I just played)

FPS
Min. : 15.0
1st Qu.: 64.0
Median : 73.0
Mean : 78.2
3rd Qu.: 87.0
Max. :194.0

10048286115_ab32bdba5b_z.jpg

7970GE @ 1160/1500, 2600k @ 4.5, 32gb in siege of shanghai 32 people

Here's hoping for optimizations and MANTLE that will go much farther for this old dog 7970

That said, it plays like butter.

I am pretty impressed.

Playing on 2560x1600 all on high and btw 45-60fps never dips under 45.

This on a GTX 670.

I haven't recorded the fps yet, but I would peg the average around mid 70s on 7970GE@1155, 2600k@4.5 in siege of shanghai

Both work. 1 is the same as "true". 0 is the same as "false". The game accepts either.

Settings Ultra,
5760 x 1080
3 x Titan, Beta Drivers v331.40
4930k @ 4.5
64 players, SoS

3 sets of numbers.....

Min = 28, 27, 32
Max = 124, 70, 106
Avg = 55, 46, 52

The 27, 46, 70 #s were from the skyscraper crashing down on my head.

Either I have a problem or the game has a problem

FX8120
AMD 6950
16 gig ram
Win8 X64
No matter what I do I can not get more than 20 FPS
1024X768 all low 20 FPS 2048X1152 Ultra 20 FPS
Tried a couple different drivers....
I have to be missing something

Thats after punkbuster crashed a bunch of times before I could even launch the game I'm not taking this as a good omen for me.

Have you guys been getting weird stuttering or fps drops in the Beta? I had a ton of that going on when I first tried to play this morning, then updated to 13.10v2 drivers as recommended & had good performance on a few servers, but most seem to get the fps drops. I suppose you could chalk it up to being a beta, but surely it should be playable without that going on?

Crazy how many people are having low FPS issues, these are great settings if you want to play competitive and still have good eye candy.

I average about 85fps with the below settings and I think it looks great...

CPU: i7-2600K at 4.7GHZ
RAM: 16GB DDR3-1600
GPU: Two GTX 570s in SLI (Driver 331.40)
SSD: Samsung 240GB

Resolution: 1980x1200
Game Settings: Everything set to high except MSAA set to none, and Anti-Aliasing post set to low.

Frames: 60057 - Time: 1080000ms - Avg: 55.608 - Min: 20 - Max: 64

Well, the game feels a lot slower than what it says I'm getting. BF3 runs very well, but BF4, not so much. Every few seconds I get a stutter which I can only guess is either due to microstutter, or the system trying to make up for a lack of VRAM. Played 64 player Siege of Shanghai and made sure I did everything from CQC to the Jet Ski.

The new Nvidia Beta Driver 331.40 doesn't make a difference on my rig other than to cause crashes elsewhere. I'll be reverting.
