I'm going to try to run ATI tool again and see if I can increase the core speed any higher. I ended up settling for 560 MHz for the core and 591 MHz for the memory. For some reason, when I overclock the memory, I get some artifacting but very little at 567 MHz, it doesn't happen if I don't overclock the memory. Well, time for ATITool once again!
Oh... I forgot to mention that once I installed the VF700 my CPU temperature went up 3 C, so I guess my case ventilation is not that great.
UPDATE: Well, my max core speed without artifacting is still the same, so I still settled for 560 MHz, so I think I'm voltage limited in this case. But my memory is stable up to 602 MHz, so I'm settling for 596 MHz, so the Zalman memory heatsinks increased my memory overclock by 5 MHz.

Also ive noticed im getting what looks like artifacting after playing Doom 3 and exiting to windows. All over the desktop, multi coloured pixels appear everywhere. If i then start Doom again but quit out immediatley it goes back to normal but any amount of playing causes the problem. My card hits 78c max whilst playing even after adjusting the fan speeds using ATi Tray Tools.
....is it RMA time?

I personally don't give a rats-a$$ about the warranty because the heat alone pushed out by that card with the stock cooler is enough to get me worried about how this card affects my mobo and other component near it. I put a Zalman VF700Cu on mine and my temps were the following:
Stock HSF:
Idle : 55c
Load: 90c+
Zalman VF700CU:
Idle: 40c
Load: 66c
