I dont have an X2 yet but gathering data to see what the ranges are. Anyway I still have my running p4 3.0C and it is hot!!

idle: 49c
load: 63c

dude you dont even know how hot my room is. my nuts stick to my thighs. :( I live in a house with no AC and it gets to be around 97-101 degrees in my room sometimes. I hate desert conidtions.

Idle: 42C
Load: 49C

Of course this is not on stock cooling, this is with a Thermalright XP-120 mated with a Panaflo 120mm fan. Additional cooling is with 4 80mm fans and the 120mm in the OCZ PSU.

LOL at the nuts stick to my... yeah well...

Um

X2 3800 2.66ghz
Dual load 42:
Idle:27-31

Folding for the [H]orde: 38

#1 x2 3800 w/ IHS w/ water cooling (3/8" tube; WW block; 120 single pass rad)**OC to 2.5**
29C idle
46C load (folding)

#2 x2 3800 no IHS air cooled (thermalright hr-01 w/ thermaltake thunderblade) *Stock 2.0*
31C idle
42C load (folding)

ambient was about 85F-90F here lately, so im ok with the temps. i did my first IHS removal to see if it was REALLY all that great. all i have to say is WOW!!!. went from 54C load with the same setup down to 42C. from now on, im runin NAKED!!! ;)

TIM=AS Ceramique.

X2 4400+ @ stock, with an XP-120 and a CoolerMaster Purple LED 120mm fan in a Lian Li PC-71:

Idle: 32°C
Load: 50°C

Temps from EVEREST.

TDX cooled 3800+ X2 toldeo
33 idle 39 load, ambient 25.5

my temps are very sensitive to ambient temps....

Mine runs hot, due to poor case ventilation (no slot for mounting a case fan!)

Idle - around 45C
Load 50C - 65C depending on application

Not particularly worried about it. Machine seems to run stable. Cool n Q lowers idle temps down to the low 30's

My 4600 with stock HSF in a P180 ran at 32c.
Testing out a 3800 in the same case later this week, hopefully it wont be any hotter.

X2 4800+, stock.

28-31C Idle...
~42C Under load :)

edit: I haven't specifically tested it under load, but it was 42C after encoding with tmpgenc for just over an hour.

x2 3800+ Manchester

Case: 29c

CPU idle: 33c
CPU load: 39c (folding)

Thermaltake XP-120, Yate Loon 120mm
Antec SuperLANBoy, Antec TriCool 120mm intake.

what kinda heat sink are you using?

Windsor 4200+64 X2 2.2ghz stock slightly oc'ed to 2.50ghz on stock cooling

//30C idle//
//35C load//

Just the stock one  Though, these readings are from my motherboard software (which I don't trust, after it reported my 4800+ jumping from 5.5x to 18x multipliers..) so I'll have to check again with better software.

edit: Speedfan reports the idle temp as 31C.. I'll have to test what it hits under load.

edit2: Yeah, running orthos beta for 10 minutes or so pushed my temp up 48C, it wavered around there but didn't break 50. I realize 10 minutes isn't enough, but my motherboard software still said 42*C. :p

X2 4000 @ 2.8/1.375v
31c load according to mobo, 40c according to CoreTemp
forgot what the idle was, twenty something...
HS: Big Typhoon.

X2 4400+ stock speed
with Zalman 9500 46C full load

opteron 165 Full load 49~50C with Thermal Take big typhoon(this chip has always reported hot)

I am not sure what mine is under a load but mine(in specs) run at 32c idle it seems. SYS is at 34 and PWM is at 38.

ADV X2 4400+ @ 2620 MHz @ 1.400v
CCBWE 0605 VPAW

Idle 38C
Load 46C (100% 1 core) Gaming
Load 60C (100% 2 cores) Orthos

Thermaltake Silent Water in 80F ambient

s939 4200 x2 manchester

idle 27-30
load <40

stock cooling and speed

4200x2 manchester
IDLE 36C degrees on CNPS 9500
Load about 120F
Yeah def a drop in temps when cool and quiet is on, cant say for sure but i know mine idles at least 6-10 degrees F cooler with it on

X2 4200+

Idle 35C
Load 40C

Stock AMD cooler in an Antec P180 case.

Cool 'n Quiet NOT enabled.

X2 3800+

Stock cooler
Arctic Ceramique
CoolerMaster Centurion 5 case with 3 exhaust fans (inc PSU) and 1 intake.
Cool'n'Quiet enabled, but of no use since the motherboard doesn't properly support it.

In XP
32c idle
43c load

In Vista RC1
No freaking idea because MyGuard won't install.

cool n quite sucks!!!!! it is only for those who are pre-overclocking...

meaning everyone will eventually OC but some just arent there yet :)

just got my 939 x2 3800+ Manchester a couple days ago (psu blew and smoked my 3200+...may it rest in peace :( )
cooling: XP-90 w/some obnoxious fan I'm about to trade out for something a little more reasonable on the db level
voltage 1.4v
speed: 2.7Ghz
Idle: 34c
Load (both cores): 47c (dual prime95 torture or dual superpi...same temp)
TIM: AS Ceramique

I can get it to post at 3.1ghz in my Ultra-D...but it won't boot into windows any higher than my A8n32 does. At first I was getting a bit nervous seeing my temp at 47c since my old 3200+ winchester @ 2.5ghz only hit 40c....but now I'm right in line with the temps in this thread. ;)

I see people running vcore upwards and past 1.5v....is that safe for these X2's? What's the most you should push to it on good aircooling (like an xp-90 and decent fan)?

Not sure, I run mine at 1.35...stock is either 1.3 or 1.35 (automatically set I guess) but I set mine manually because I hate automatic settings like that

when running cool and quiet do you guys see a good drop in temps?
I turned that crap off on all 3 of my desktops.....made things too glitchy back when I built them(early days of dual core) plus I used to overclock. Now I just never thought about turning it back on with the current patches and the fact that I don't overclock anymore

Just got my 89w 4400+ Toledo installed yesterday, along with an XP-90C + Panaflo 80mm fan.

I think my temp is a little high:

40-42 C idle (haven't tested load temp yet)

My case has decent airflow - Centurion 5 stock setup. Do you guys think I should reseat my HSF?

I followed the directions on the Arctic silver website (using AS5). But when I was trying to hook the latches to the xp-90c I think it lost contact with the cpu briefly but I pushed it back down quickly - think I should redo this and be more careful?

Just give you AS time to cure/burn in/whatever. I had a 10c dorp in temps after a few days of use. You have to turn off you computer every now and then though or it won't cure/burning/whatever right.

Thanks for the info.
