What headphones are these?
My guess is his Dad finally upgraded his old sound system and gave the old equipment to the kid.
Lol nah, but in all seriousness, that is a nice setup for a 12 year old. I sure as hell didn't have anything like that when I was his age!
Yes, they are "crapcandys". I got them on my 10th Birthday because I thought they were good then. Now, one side of my headphones are broken and the other side barley plays. I don't suggest you get them. They look like Crapcandys
I have studied the inside of a computer for about a year. I have alrady replaced my video card and all the memory for every computer in my whole house. With my birthday money, plus the money I have saved up now, I am probably going to build my first (i7) rig. When I was 12 I only knew what the inside of a computer looked like because mine had a window on it. Then I got the AMD version of that Dell for my 13th birthday.
I can barley put up the sound on low. After that, I can hear my room shaking. A little after that, my parents complain. On medium volume, things in my first floor start to vibrate. So many speakers so little sense lol

My setup really hasn't changed since 2009. Pretty good for a 12 Year Old:

When i was 12 i believe i had a 286/12mhz with 1mb or ram and a 4gb hard drive.
Used to play game like Trade Wars on BBS's (Wiki it kids)
Damn I'm feeling old now.
I was gifted a the HP by my sister. it wasn't running properly, need cleaning badly and has two keys missing. I replaced the hard drive from another broken laptop that was again gifted to me. It works perfect now. Albeit, it is from 2003... The toshiba is my school computer, I don't use it much other than that.nice clean setup Nuke why so many laptops ?!!?
when i was twelve i had: AMD Athlon 2800+, 512mb memory, 40 GB Hitachi drive, ATI All-In-Wonder 2006(a Radeon 9600 in disguise!), win 2000, 19" CRT which graduated to a 19" WS LCD(still in use as 2nd monitor now), heck that PC is still running was my server now is my sisters temp computer LOL.....
Yes I did do all the fabrication of the desk, other than the welding on the legs, which my dad did. I used cheap 1x2's as a form and were set on a sheet of plastic. Because of the thickness of the concrete (1.5") it needed to be reinforced with rebar and chickenwire. Two types of concrete were used, regular concrete mix as a base and for a smoother surface sandmix was used on the top. Then as the concrete was drying, dry black grout was sprinkled and troweled into the surface to make it darker. After about two weeks of slow drying, the top was waxed using a heavy minwax paste wax and buffed to a light shine.Awesome industrial look. Really distinct.
Would you mind discussing the desk? Did you do the fabrication completely yourself? Is the top solid concrete?

The frame was constructed out of 1 1/2 x 1/8 angle iron that was cut and welded together. Only the two ends were welded together, the longer stabilizer bars are bolted to the the welded pieces. This allows the frame to be taken apart and moved with ease. But I doubt that will be happening since the top is 200+ pounds.
I'm glad you like it, and feel free to ask any questions.
Just remodeled my computer room earlier this week. Downgraded my dad's desk so that I could fit my two new showcases . Oh well, he can't complain, the last computer he had to buy was that old HP on the shelf in the picture.
And before people start making comments about the knives/flashlights, they are always there. I grab one of each before leaving the house.
