My setup that i retire to after a long day of school/work. I have my gaming rig in the livingroom but my HTPC can handle some games, got upcoming upgrades to make it more game friendly (extra ram + better cpu). Also use this to control my server via TightVNC.
Anyway here it is:

Running vista on my HTPC, has some video playback issues but for the most part a pleasant interface

Pleasantly placed so I can enjoy some quality TV

Night shot

Wall mount, not 100% secure but secure enough for the monitor, angle isn't perfect either but usable

Westnghouse 32inch HDTV, used with htpc, xbox, xbox360, HD cable box

Xbox and charging area

HTPC, XBOX360, HD cable box and Draft N wireless adapter

ghetto air conditioning

Everything together

Brother's comp in progress, just needs ram and an HDD.

Relax guy, we're not into ragging..... much. Your setup looks cleaner than many I've seen. Also, why is that tv/monitor covered with that blue towel?

Well, the hook on my door broke for my robe and towel, so that's the replacement. And since my ghetto TV doesn't have a coaxial output plug since it broke, I just use it to play PS2 or watch DVD's, but either way, that hasn't happened for 6 months. I'm awaiting to get a nice 30" soon and mount that to my wall :)

Well I hav a semi-major update, I bought some klipsch Promedia 2.1 PC speakers.
Man, going from some crappy 30 Watt Dell A525's to these monster 200 Watters, is simply amazing.

IMG_000LG.jpg

35 Watts per 3" satellite, and 130 Watts in the 6.5" Subwoofer. These are also THX Certified.

So the 2 satellites combined there is 70 Watts. add the sub and you get 200 watts.

Yeah since I got these two weeks ago, I am never going to go to anything less. They are absolutely incredible! :D

If you are wondering, Best Buy sells them for $156.99. I had $100 Gift Card, that I used on it. That was the only way i could afford it.

Hmm, sounds like yet another 2.1 setup with satellites that are grossly under-powered compared to the sub... but I suppose all the cool kids these days are playing their music with far too much bass!

I have my bass turned slightly less than half way. I like a near perfect balance. They are not underpowered considereing my previous speakers had 5 watt satelites.

Here is a pic with the cver removed

Lol... Maybe you should have checked the bass before taking that picture! ;)

He's got the specs wrong...

50w/sat, 100w total. 50w RMS sub, 100w peak. 200w for the whole system, peak. Sub & Sats each have 100w amps.

I have them, and I can tell you, if you put the speakers at the recommended klipsch sub setting and you have a sound card worth balls (Xfi xtreme music here) and you use ZERO software eq's, etc, they do NOT overbass. I don't listen to really anything modern either, mostly old stuff (nothing real bassy)

Hasn't changed since the last time you posted it. ;)

I asked for the wallpapers a while back, and you linked to them (I never got to thank you). But there were little marks on it kind of like you'd see on currency, small lines here and there. Is that how it is for you as well?

Yes, this is why I asked what the actual power is, none of this PMPO or 'burst' rubbish.

FTC Rated Per Satellite: 55 watts/channel @ ≤ 1% THD, 200Hz - 1KHz (Note: all channels driven)
FTC Rated Subwoofer: 50 watts @ ≤ 7% THD, 40 - 100 Hz
That seems more believable, & now the sub doesn't seem quite so strupidly overpowered. The sub does suffer rather a bit of THD, & according to the spec there's a big gap between 100Hz & 200Hz (probably more than that because the quoted frequency response probably isn't the 'effective' range. But I think Klipsch made a typo - I extremely doubt that the top end of the satellites is only 1KHz!

Well than Best Buy has the specs wrong on their site. Checjk my previious post. It has the link to that very page whre I got my specs.

I have known for Best Buy to be wrong. For instance, my 17" Gateway FPD1760 LCD's boast 8ms response time where EVERWHERE ELSE, it says 16ms. Best Buy needs to stop giving false advertising. :(

BestBuy haven't necessarily quoted the specs wrong, they've just chosen to mix 'actual' specs with 'PMPO/burst' specs to make it look better than it actually is. This is why I always check the manufacturer's site to see if I'm being told the whole truth.

Unfortunately 'technically' & 'legally' are two different things, so you can't sue them for it! Though a nice court settlement would pay for a shiny new computer....

Why do you people find it so hard to just post pictures. Either there are the people who quote pictures or there are people using this thread as there personal fag client.
And no, I have no photos because I have no camera.

Two wrongs don't make a right, practice what you preach, etc etc. Yay for hypocrisy, GSXR. ;) Now, if you have an issue with my post, feel free to PM me. Don't reply in the thread.

Ya, looks like dust from the negative scans.

^
I was wondering that myself. Odd place to put the phone, or at least an odd place to put the garbage after mounting the base.

Ahhh, my new desk :) Just got'er today.

Do you have any inside pics of your case? I have the same case (except in black) and was wondering how you did your watercooling setup.

Can anybody verify what desk this is? I really like it.

Edit:

Did some digging and found the desk here "http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=3830242&st=bush+desk&lp=4&type=product&cp=1&id=1051384800457" in case anybody cared in the future.

I'll post some in the Lian Li gallery later and PM you the link ;)

Whats up guys! first post here :D

I took the camera from work and went to town with pics. Im pretty happy with the setup right now, but i always feel there is room for improvement. This is my first build where i have actually cared about wire management inside the computer, and it will take a few more builds till i can get it down right in my opinion.

Antec Nine Hundred
Antec Trio 550W
EVGA 8800GTS 320MB
AMD 4400+ 939 X2
ASUS A8N pci express x2
2GB Corsair pro pc3200 184pin (512 x 4)
2x Sony DVD burners
320 GB media/Vista Drive
80 GB gaming/XP/Whatever doesnt work on Vista.

The power switches i installed are for me to decide which operating system i want to boot to but simply cutting power to the hard drive/OS that i decide NOT to boot to. Sata drives are hot-swappable, so if im in Xp i can turn on the media/Vista drive for whatever i may need off the drive.
