Not worried about your monitor covering the vent of your receiver?

Agreed. The only vents on that thing are on top and are being covered by your monitor.

Clean desk indeed. :)

Once somebody at a party put a drink on top of my receiver. I totally flipped out. Can't stand that when someone disrespects you and your stuff when they do that. Along with my laptop, my receiver is my "baby".

Nope. There are vents on the other side, and it really doesnt cover that much from the top. If it bursts into flames.. Oh well, what can you do. :D Seriously, it doesnt even heat that much.. And I use it 5-8 hours a day.

I didnt even clean up the desk before I took the photos.. Mainly because its always that clean. :D

My girlfriend always put her drinks on my reciever, despite my requests that she wouldn't (I never can win, lol). That is, at least, until she knocked one over while it was on it. Thankfully the edge of the cup went over the side of the reciever and none got on it, but phew. I showed her the pricetag after that... she never put anything on top of it again. lol

I couldn't even put my monitor on it if I wanted to. Damn HK's are a bit flimsy, and the ten minutes I put it up there while cleaning made the entire top sag on. Whoopsies.

Lucky when that cup tipped over. Most people don't realize that my Marantz SR7500 retailed for 1100 dollars  that's what's sad about it

Yeah, it woulda sucked. I mean, it was only $300 when I bought it, but still...

thats $300 that I don't have available to spend on a replacement!

She understands now, at least.

Dudes.. Its not a high performance amplifier, and even after 8 hours of continous usage, its not even warm. Im not even a little worried about harming it by having the display on top of it.

I think I'd just laugh it it blew up.. The amplifier has like 8000hrs of usage. :p

Damn dudes, look what you made me do. :D It looks like crap, and the monitor sits way too low.. Gotta make/buy some kind of shelf..

I think I have the same TV stand.

I need to clean my room, but these pictures will do for now.

I have a good fixed-frame screen, but it weighs 26 pounds and this is only the projector's temporary home, so I didn't want to rip the walls up.

Temporary ghetto blackout curtain.

Right speaker and computing area.

I didn't have any speaker wire left, so I had to move the receiver out to accommodate. Notice the ghetto blackout curtain (sleeping bag).

Might as well post mine.

The speakers are nothing special, but they get the job done. I only use them for listening to low quality music files, watching Youtube or gaming (only some games like racing and RTS).

I would like to get some better speakers but there is no space :(.

There is a PS3 hiding under the desk.

I know the place is kind of dusty...

btw our place also has a pair of Magneplanar speakers but since they are not mine, I won't post photos of them here.

the monitor sits way too low..

Looks to be correct to me, unless you're pretty tall and your eyes are much higher than the horizontal center of the LCD. Maybe you're just the type of person that also likes to put a flatscreen TV above a fireplace.

Looks like a kickass wallpaper!

Those are some beautiful bookshelf speakers!
What do you have driving them?

They are brand new so still burning in :) I have a NAD C320BEE driving them and the soundcard is an Asus Xonar D2X. I think cables make a difference to teh sound colour as well so have NVA LS2 solid core speaker cables and QED JP2 interconnect from soundcard to amp :)

Its atleast 20cm below my eyes... I dont like to look down, in the long run my neck starts to hurt. But anyways, I think we should keep this topic about audio... :)

Figured I'd post mine up. I've never participated in a 'Post yours!' thread, so preemptive apologies if the pics aren't quite up to snuff.
