Post your pc screen shots!

How the hell is that done? Do they take a pictures of that area and then put it as their wallpaper and then cleverly place their screens to make it look transparent? I'm going to try that!
Thats the only way I can figure they did it, but that would suck b/c of lighting changes and what not.

Pretty much. Just move your monitor. Get a Tripod + Camera. Set up correct lighting. Snap a Picture. Put back the monitor, click another pic with the monitor in place (to see wha the monitor is blocking. Then Photoshop + Cropping/editing of the pic without the monitor, then set the remainder as the background. Bam! Transparant Desktop. You'd want to set the tripod up at your LOS (line of sight) since...you want it to look transparant when your sitting down. It wont't look transparant from any other angles.

Ok Dark Tiger... How many PC's do you have and just how often is the theme changed?? :)

Well, here's my latest. It's a dramatic change from my last few....it's very orange themed, as opposed to the blue I usually do.

have the same image on my Linux box except it;s the whole thing and not cropped down.
Yeah, I had to mess with it because it looked all funkily off center to me. I really like the wallpaper though, love the orange spheres on it.

My latest desktop...hybrid wallpaper I made...an ekud wall mixed with an anime character...

I'm confused - what exactly is a PC screenshot? You mean a picture of our machines?
i screenshot would be what weve all posted for the past 36 pages: exactly what you see on your computer. the stupid n00b has no idea what hes talking about...

pics of our machines would go into the 2005 post your workstation thread.

Hey, that's a very unique lookoing overall theme sniperchicken, looks nice! :)

I just switched to a new window manager (XFCE4) and I thought I would share my screenshot of how I got it looking so far...

By the way, I decided to do a Mac inspired theme....so here it is:

With a window open...I really love the explorer toolbars, and the "minimize/maximize" buttons

And here's the desktop: wallpaper made from different images and a lot of editing and photoshopping...doesn't look like much, but I got it JUST how I wanted it to look.
