Here's my new Mac Pro setup for a small Manhattan apartment:

Here's where I watch movies from the Mac.

I have that monitor love it. Not a bad setup for manhattan! You don't know the ****holes I've seen.

Wow Cheetoz, that setup looks really weird..

The keyboard looks out of place with that big monitor and the mouse pad looks hideous. You should replace it with one of these:

Well, I don't a new mousepad would hurt too much, but since when are PCs all about looks? :p
ratpadz.. no comparison. if you use a computer a lot, not having one makes no sense. Its like night and day going to any other mouse surface.

Well, since we are talking about mousepads, I use one that was made in the 1980s, no joke, but it still works like a charm, though I definitely will agree it's seen better days, but hey, it still works fine, so therefore, I'll keep using it

Even better than all the other hard mousepads out there?

yes. I can whole-heartidly (sp?) reccomend a ratpadz with no feeling that theres something better out there. Unless theres something ridiculous I've got no idea about. If there is, I bet its very expensive.

Hmmm. I wonder if anyone has both of them...

Sometimes I think you like those speaker attacks for how many threads you post your setup in. So I'll bite, shouldn't the sub be on the floor?? ;):p

I'm just putting it out there so people get over it on all my previous post (posts with pictures) i never talked about the sub.. or the speakers with an intention of trying to get people to talk about it........ I'm just pointing it out this time..

Ghostchild, very little of your picture has to do with your "Mac setup". I mean, listing your memory-foam mattress?

I really don't understand that anyway, since more than half my room is consumed by my mac setup.... the keyboard is for music on Logic on my MBP, iphone obviously, camera stuff on lightroom on my MBP, psp on my MBP. I dont get it...

Plus if you look at the post I posted the main setup first.

My setup has changed quite a bit in the last week or two.

Firstly I've replaced my Apple Macbook Pro with a newer model. I'd had the old one for 2 years so it was time for an upgrade. The new one is one of the latest penryn ones with an LED screen. Its a great little machine.

Here's a pic of the swap over happening:

I've also treated myself to a griffin elevator and a new apple keyboard. The griffin elevator really helps my neck and the apple keyboard is great to type on. The last purchase was an apple iPhone as the £100 off offer was just too tempting!

Here is a shot of it all in place:

Also in shot is my HP all in one printer, sony lcd tv logitech mx revolution mouse and netgear wireless N router.

Simple and sexy, Gordy!!

Is there a big difference between the new MBP's LED screen and that of your old MBP?

grody, awesome setup!

Its the wrong time to be buying a MBP though. A new one will def. be coming out in June!

Thanks, yes there is a massive difference its so much brighter!

This model has only just come out and there isn't anything massively different on the intel road map so I'm not concerned. Yes the shape of the current model hasn't changed in two years, but it's still one of the best out there. My only desire would be for another usb port really.

If apple do a design refresh it will probably look like the mba which I'm not a fan of looks wise.

Its dif. gonna be a fresh desgin. Rumors has it that it'll be slimmer and will have a keyboard similar to the MB. Regardless, even if the new MBP blows, the older one will be that much cheaper! Ur talking about a saving of around $500 for the "outdated" version. But then again, with apple everything u buy will be outdated in a couple of months anyway.

If the re-designed MBP has an MB-style keyboard, I'd consider that a major step backwards.

really?? Its funny cause a lot of ppl hate the current MBP keyboard and loved the aluminum/MB keyboard.
I myself love the aluminum keyboard.
