Post your "gaming" System Specs and Pics.

already i see 2 systems with awful surround speaker placement. ya'll know computers but don't you know that SURROUND means you put them to the left or right of your ears towards the rear of your seating position? you can't just put them straight up on the desk NEXT to the front speakers. that loses its effect. just unplug if you are gonna do that.

Yea I saw that as well. People got like $300 sound systems and then they make the dumbest surrond setups

Why do people buy 4/5.1 sound systems and have all sats on the desk? Makes no sense to me.

well when you have, 4 computers, 2 drum sets, 5 guitars, 2 bass's, 4 amps a 55in widescreen HDTV with all the right hookups in the RIGHT places, a wife and 4 kids you have to make some sacrafices to keep the wife happy and still keep all your toys. so for me to have my rear speakers more to the side of me instead off behind me (in the middle of the dinning room) it's a sarifice I make with no problems.

edit: Let me say that I have also adjusted my speakers using a Sound Level Meter the Analog one from Radio shack, while I play I pull the back speaker closer to the edge of the desk. It sounds alot better the you think. What I hate is that people assume! You have know idea what others know or why they do what they do. I have worked long and hard to have what I have and still keep myself married so thanks for the possitive remarks! ;)

I'm too lazy to organize the wires.

if you're playing CS:Source and its' in 5.1, when someone runs around in the rear right speaker, you can be confusing that with somebody walking in YOUR right side if the rear speaker is on the desk! that's crazy! just get rid of it, it's useless if you can't position it correctly wife or not! don't be putting excuses on one thing that doesn't have to do with another. it's basic philosophy, one of the fallacies of placing a blame on something else that doesn't have to do with the immediate situation.

LoL, I like it and I am happy with it, And It Sounds good to me. So you guys are saying that you don't like my setup because of my rear speaker placement or what?

I have the z560 4.1 in my picture. A few months later, I had to take everything off the desk to access the power box and I now only have the front two put up. Too many wires and my crap placement lead me to use only two.

Love my machine. I've run into nothing yet I can't run smoothly. Doom3 @1280x1024 = smooth as glass. HL2 (except for the stinkin' sound chugs) runs like a dream. NBA Live 2005 has game load times of less than 6 sec. Everything else ends up as chunks in my system's stool (sorry for the mental image).

Case (black with the X-shaped window and a metric buttload of blue lights) = http://www.extremetech.com/article2/0,1558,1713195,00.asp

The next upgrade is a 21" monitor, black to match all my other stuff (right now I have a blech-beige 19" Dell Ultrascan P990). After that, more freakin' HD space (with all the movies I've copied, I'm down to 8.4 gb free), and a move up to 2gb ram.

The wife (separated) has the digicam, while the eldest son (13.75 y/o) has the old system (Athlon 1.2ghz, 512mb ram, 17" monitor, and 180gb hd). The youngest son (2.75 y/o) wants nothing to do with the PC unless it's playing midis of "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star", "Rockabye Baby", or "Little Bunny Foo Foo". That'll change soon though; I gave him a My First Leappad for Xmas and he's soooooooo into it.

I miss my old box:(

The rest is minding my own business.

1 with flash, 1 w/o. The case is some antec case w/o the front bezel and custom mounted spst switches, blue leds and led housings. a temp controlled fan pulled from ym dell that is dead, antec true power 480 psu.

Mouse is a exploder 3.0a, KB is a logitech navigator, I need a new KB and mouse, both are REALLY worn.

Yes, See i'm to cheap to buy one so my brother found one in his junkpile or something and brought it over, so I've been using it for over a year now.
